There are a couple of things i feel like i do differently and could be very useful. One is, if in ice prison try to equip your defender instead of your shield, it has a fairly good possibility of negating all damage. I also bring a pouch with runes for disruption shield. It's a nice little panic button to negate a hit if you get hit by a contain this or if you are in a prison and your reso is on cooldown. Lastly when you don't have fleeting boots then rapid fire is useles in shadow phase if you keep running around. In that phase she will not continually try to get in melee distance, if you see that she stays a few squares away she won't try to come in melee distance and it is safe to just use rapid fire. You will have to keep on the lookout for the shadow bomb and her rushing you when you use that tactic. That's what i did before fleeting boots were a thing and it worked great. Wouldn't recommend doing that on kill one but a nice little bit of extra damage if you want to.

If you have some experience with nex and both the spa pool buff and maxed bonfire buff, the death ward relic over font of life will allow you to sit in the berserker's fury damage sweet spot a little longer. Just a personal preference. Also, adrenaline urn can always replace the persistent rage relic if you have it.

Correct my sentence if I am wrong: Ty for the video guide Protoxx and I wanna thank TonixRs as well too for the Nex Guide. While practicing Nex, I always use Onslaught on blood phase but sometimes my Rng decides to fail me, and Nex left maybe +10k-15k Hp, and I have to heal up cause Im gonna die soon, so whenever I am at this scenario (Rng sucks so maybe 1-2x) I will hit the minions and then hit Nex until 80k Hp and dodging the Blood Sacrifice.

Little things to do before/during bloodphase. Prephasing from shadow to blood phase by simply pressing snapshot ability right after the auto-attack. This will result in the auto-attack phasing nex and snapshot damage piercing through at the start of blood phase. When succesfully phasing nex to blood phase, use freedom and anticipate to gain some adrenaline while nex is siphoning. Instead of waiting, doing this gives an extra adrenaline which results the player getting the adren back, if not more, after prephasing with snapshot. Timing the snipe ability is a recipe for a perfect bloodphase, always do it. Also, always throw vuln bomb before sniping at this point. Using onslaught may be consistent but with bakriminel bolts and the damage from the ability itself may cause the player's death because eating/drinking will interrupt onslaught. Hence, it is advised that if doing onslaught, always activiate enhanced excalibur from the action bar. (Not from the inventory because it may cancel onslaught.)

Tbh, for starters i would recommend using a max cape/skill cape + melee helmet and boots and bringing a range boot and helmet switch. that way you dont have to kite nex in 1st and 2nd phase and dont risk getting fked by the shadow bleeds. After you get used to it, start kiting. Also Death Ward+Berserkers fury+fury of the small(believe its this combo) is nice if you have 120 arch.

@@rohanshah7110 if you wear, lets say sirenic chest+legs and wear like a masterwork helmet + boots plus a skillcape, nex will not bleed you on shadow phase. Its got something to do with how much melee bonus/range bonus you have. If your melee bonus is as high/higher than your range bonus, nex will not come into melee distance and therefore not bleed you in that phase. After that phase you can swap to range boots + range helmet for better accuracy (especially for the last phase).

just another little nex tip: if you take 10mil gold, the ancient robes set and the frozen key to the banker lady in the nex prelobby, you never have to worry about putting it all on or charging your frozen key again. which means you can enter the fight with full adren if you have the crystals at pvm hub unlocked! :D the more you know!

If you enter a Nex instance in full hybrid gear setup (like Sliske's Parody armor, cinderbanes, a max cape, and laceration boots so you have a slight melee affinity) you will lock Nex into only using mage attacks on phases 1, 3, and 4 and only range attacks on phase 2. You only will need to worry about her melee attacks during Zaros phase, which you're moving around in anyways to avoid soulsplit damage. This makes Nex wayyyyy easier to do/learn in my opinion and is why I have been able to do over 500 solos. Hope someone else finds this helpful!

I continued to muscle memory bleed on blood phase, so I just teleported out. Bought a wyvern crossbow last night, which is why I tried solo. Going to try again later today and hopefully I’ll get the solo kill.

NOTE: (my combat level 138, approx 2600 Total level). I have killed NEX with a small party (5 memebers). I haven't technically been able to solo it alone. Gear: Sirenic armor (T90). Augmented ATTUNED Crystal Bow (perks: Precise 6 AND Equilibrium 4, boosts damage significally). About the Blood Phase. I get to blood Phase basically every time. But Nex hels like 8000 hp every 12 seconds basically and keeps repeating it, like she was stuck. The acual frame to to damage is like 8 seconds (otherwhile seh heals AND Summons reapers every 8 seconds, but anyway very fast.) 1. You can "1 hit" nex in the aprrox. 8 seconds window with eg. Onslaught channel with boosts, so that you get the 40K damage in 8 seconds, then NEX moves to next phase. NOTE: You need high damage input in this case, but it works. Or other 1 hit mechanic, like double shot with temporary boost (which could deal total of, let's say 8k damage poer double shot with temporary boosts). Anyway, you need a way to deal approx. let's say 40K total damage in very short window (in my kills about 8 seconds until NEX begins healng.) Or 2 or three rounds total (you can do like 12k damage per damage window, counting the heal. This is why it would be best t just Onslaught channel all the damage in 1 instance, otherwise NEX begins the healing rounds, and heals to full HP very easily, IF you don't get the damage threshold done in 1 damage window (in my kills approx. 8 seconds). 2. NO BLEEDS in Blood Phase. It seems like, IF you attack with any type of Bleed (For instance, Shadow Tendrils Ancient curse threshold ability, NOTE, NEX actually uses Ancient curses herself.) So, IF you attack with any type of Bleed ability, it seems like she starts healing immediately, and in my kills, seh gets stuck in the loop, so that she just summons 2 reavers every 12 seconds basically AND heals 50K damage to fulls health every 12 seconds basucally. Rinse and repeat. Disable all bleeds, so this "trap" doesn't activate. Every type of bleed. But Onsluaght works in this case for some reason, it doesn't count as a Bleed mechanic in this case. 3. Concerning Ancient Curses in Runescape 3 and OSRS. Ancient Curses (I have 100 Prayer And 99 Magic, access to all curses) have hidden mechanics. My assumption is, that NEX can begin looping damage in some other Phase as well as the Blood Sacrifice Phase, IF you have Bleeds in use. I don't know for sure, but I suspect this. So, in a difficult Phase, try disabling all Bleeds from abilities (NO bleed damage at all may hit her, she starts looping the heal mechanic from first bleed damage in the Blood Sacrifice Phase.) BTW, Ancient lore. nex necis f. death; usually violent death, murder. (Latin Dictonary, Latin Vulgate)

Problem with mage nex is that you can't use an instance, and outside of the instance you'll need to use range every other kill anyways. Problem with melee nex is it's stupid easy to accidentally kill yourself on zaros phase and you'll also waste a lot of time standing around while she's deflecting melee. Also, shadow phase isn't fun with melee. Range has been the meta at nex long before it became the best combat style for those reasons.

As a frustrated PvM scrub that got a mouse with extra buttons and was excited to try it out on RS, I feel like it's a big problem that even an old boss like Nex isnt something you want to use Revolution on (really just blood phase but also helps a bit on Ice so when you freedom you dont attack when you want to block the followup damage), but they dont even support keybinds from extra mouse buttons without 3rd party software to help set it up.....like why give us the option to reconfigure but not actually support it? I don't know if you and other content creators have already made videos about this, but I just came back to RS3 and I feel like I would enjoy PvM more if they addressed this cause i always feel overwhelmed with anything past Araxxor using typical keybinds.

I have one ascension crossbow (main hand) and a shadow glaive off hand. bakriminel bolts both ruby and diamond(e) but it did not seems that I was DPSing at all, I splash so much. I am wearing tier 70 ranged armor tho, I do not think it should be a big deal with the accuracy. what could I be doing wrong?

Prayer and potions matter too. Reapers necklace for better accuracy. There's auras that give accuracy bonus too. This boss is doable with tier 80 weapons so I don't know what else to say to you.

why does nex randomly starts praying range?

i give up on nex, literally cant figure out the blood stage. watched so many guides and tried 100s of times and just cant get past it. i must just too incompetent.

What about her putting on range pray all the time, i always get to ice & she starts using pray range and i ko myself to her deflect damage lol

Use an instance and bank after every kill, that way it's guaranteed she'll pray mage. If you kill her outside of an instance (or don't bank after a kill in an instance) she'll alternate between praying mage and range, so you'll need to swap combat styles every other kill.

I use: Full Sirenic Dual Asc MW Helm and Boots Reg OVL Ruby > Onyx/Hydrix I have spent 8mil on supplies and achieved 0 kills. I dont get how people are doing the damage they are doing, while taking as little as they are taking. Getting sick of it tbqh.

How is reaper better than souls? it's -10 in stats and it only adds 3% acc at max stack. Just wondering :)

You don't use SS so the passive is wasted, the 3% accuracy is better than the 10 ranged str benefit vs nex.
