I do love how this remake series is all about “morally grey” stuff and “the good guys aren’t so good either” but it ends up being a typical good-vs-evil scenario. Any morally questionable thing the good guys do is thrown away because they’re the good guys and Activision sucks at trying to make their stories have meaning in a morality sense

I watched this and the full video of Will playing through the game, and I still don't understand why the Russian military guy kidnapped two children and held them in a prison for a decade instead of just killing them like he had killed literally everyone else in their village.

I went back to double check the vod for the full play (because it might've given a reason and I just forgot) and there's a text on black screen part before that section that does specifically say "Imprisoned since 1999" (along with a couple other things). Farah *does* say she's been in solitary confinement for 10 days. If Barkov does mention them being recently captured, I can't find it.

There was a bunch of cut dialogue where Barkov talks about r*ping the women in the village, that’s why he wanted them in the truck. Also when Barkov tells the character to “turn around” there was originally more planned to the scene that they thankfully cut.

Actually it WAS a war crime because they were fleeing combat. They were leaving kuwait with civilians, including women and children, and were NOT in combat. That's a violation of Article 3.

the highway of death thing is fucked but when people say they are rewriting history i don't get it? urzikstan isn't real, and russia also did stuff like this (baku-rostov highway - russian jets bombed refugees fleeing to russia) although they probably weren't taking major inspiration from that, the only things i find similar is bombing the highway and its got the same name

I really don't understand why they decided to make the Highway of Death in this game a Russian war crime instead of an American one. Wouldn't it make sense for the 'morally grey' theme of the campaign and perhaps lead to some interesting conflict between Alex and Farah?
