For me this is my best far cry it’s setting truly felt like American. And while Vaas is the best villain Jacobs trials of actually like manipulating the player into following his rules is amazing. We become so used to just killing the enemy which progressively becomes the resistance over the trials

The nukes are actually the start of a nuclear war (IIRC it is North Korea in the radios). There are hints sprinkled throughout the game by radio, posts, and whatnot. Joseph himself also said a few times the purpose of the cult is to prepare for the end times, and constructed the bunkers specifically for nuclear fallout.

The best part of (most) ubisoft games is they almost always have full co-op campaign... an aspect that gradually becoming more and more of a rare feature in overtly saturated battle royale type of "multiplayer" nowadays.

I actually really love this game. And the environment. Fighting peggies and listening to the funny things they say never gets old. I love throwing bats, pipes and shovels at baddies. Plus I love the double buddy perk where I can have two guns for hire at once with me. So I chose two sweet girls and say I'm going with my ladies. On a road trip or so. The only two things to make this game perfect would be peggies roaming the map after completing the game like in Far Cry 4, New Dawn and 6. And I'd love to have New Dawn's double jump.

Me and a friend came up with a fun "game" while playing Far Cry 5 co-op a while back. We'd get a helicopter, one of us would fly, and the other would grapple onto it. Then the pilot would bail out, and the grappled guy would have to somehow survive the crash without using their wingsuit or parachute. It was good fun.

As lame as the ending was, though New Dawn did make it okay, this game is still more fun than FC6. Loved the DLC especially the zombies, and the arcade mode was great. Some really good maps there. And I had lots of fun chucking bats and shovels.
