I’ll be going over each Young Gun individually, as well as attaching a grade from F to A as my thoughts on their investment potential.

True, I got a box for $225 CAD all in which I still think is crazy but apparently is cheap. Does have life changing potential if you somehow pull a high gloss or 1/1 bedard, $20,000+ for sure

@@Lethal210 you have to go to the right store at the right time good luck. Hundreds of stores and when did Upper Deck put the 1/1 Bedard or did they. Why would they put 1/1 early? Obviously they will wait in the late runs. Cause everybody chasing that.

Not gonna but anymore for more than $250 so gotta hope it drops but from past year what happens is young guns get cheaper after release but for some reason boxes go up. After a year or so they go down and settle fairly. We will see but the hype gonna be mad to start

Great breakdown as usual, enjoyed it. A little disappointing Fantilli or Cooley is not in S2 as regular YGs. I know that makes Extended much better, but if spending big $’s on S2, nice to get another strong name. I am lucky to get a few boxes before prices shot way up, but interesting to see where the prices of boxes will go.

The way they put together this crop of young guns, it should be a normal price. If they wanted to inflate the price like it is, they should’ve included Bedard’s canvas, Cooley and Fantilli at the very least. You could very easily get a box with 6 D or lower Young Guns and get so pissed off that you don’t buy any more product. I can see that happening with a lot of people. Of course, I’m a Blackhawks fan so I will be going broke chasing KK and Bedard

What do u think a bedard YG starts at? Marquee’s are going for roughly $100- id say $800 off the get? I can see it getting mcdavid prices

Yeah, it’s certainly possible. I was leaning closer to $600 after Day 1, but the first few to market… I can definitely see them going higher.

I think day 1 will be concerning sales pricing I'd day mcdavid for sure, maybe $900. Will then plumet days after to $500-600.

That is up to you. =) I would grade and then go from there, if it looks like a gem. If it doesn't, I'd lean toward selling.

New to hockey in the hobby. These videos rule! How does UD decide the release for Russian guys. Im a flyers fan and I’m waiting a few years for Michkov but would he be series two of the year he debuts or can they jam him into a product in anticipation of his debut?

Welcome to the hobby and thank you! UD does not have KHL rights. UD decides which product he debuts in, but he won’t have any pre-NHL cards unless he goes into the AHL first.

Are the hobby box prices likely to increase after release?

There are a lot of factors that go into play with that. If this were a prior year, I would think the box would go down by the summer. But until that 1/1 Bedard gets pulled, I see these only increasing. Once that is pulled, I think we will see a dip, and then a longterm increase.
