So as a former addict and animal lover (10 years clean) there is no world or universe that I would have ever neglected my pets. This isn’t a substance abuse issue. This is who she is regardless. Yes every addict is different but again, for most, even deep in addiction our pets are our lives, they are what keep us going, they are there for us at our darkest, they see us at our worst. There is not a single universe where I would have ever done this in any part of my addiction.

I feel so sorry for that little dog. She's so tiny, and worms can kill an animal. All 3 of my dogs were rescued from bad owners. Our German Shepherd was only 5 months old when we got her and she was so full of worms she just cried and could barely walk. Her stomach was so bulged out that when we picked her up, she would make noises and act like it was hurting her. We got her medicine the next day, and that was literally all she was pooping out was worms. It broke my heart, and we took pictures and videos and sent them to our local ASPCA and made a report on the person we got her from. Thankfully she recovered and is now happy and healthy. It makes me so mad when people neglect their animals and have no care in the world. There needs to be more done to people who abuse and neglect their pets or any animal
