Omg the piercings ARE a self harm thing (they were at least). Im so glad u guys caught up on that bc a lot of reactions i have seen didn’t. Its sort of understood more in the manga bc obviously (this anime goes thro a fast forward of the whole 124 chapters of the manga sjdjjdjd so they rush and skip many things). Minor Translation error. So she said suki, its leans more towards "I like you" instead of I love you. So she cut herself off by saying, "I like your hands".

you're right, the translation is a problem sometimes, because that "I love you" is really a generalized "like" in the original Japanese, so that's why they can say that the supposed confection was just a compliment to your hands

Ye and since in japanese when they established there topic they assume they're still talking about the topic (in this case the hand) in which case when Miyamura says "suki" again Hori just assumes it's her hand. But I still love how they say they like the hands and also says i love you to each other

@@kuyorei7359 totally, in their heads they already declared their love, and that is the great thing about the double meaning game of legunage, I'm sure that in their subconscious they both understood that it was a declaration, but technically neither accepts it yet, that is why In the next scene Miyamura is so defensive of Toru saying that Hori feels something for him, also taking into account his self-esteem problems, of course he still has doubts that a girl like her falls in love with a guy like him.

yeah, give them time, to be honest the first impression of Remi in these two episodes is terrible, when they see more of the character they will realize that she is more a small cluster of pink chaos than an evil bitch

@@valentinafangirling yeah, the anime cuts several mini-stories, especially of supporting characters (there's a whole Souta plot that never appears in this season). the same is understood, with 12 episodes they should focus on Hori and Miyamura. I hope they flood us with OVAS focused on all the characters that we hardly saw

not a confession, 'suki da' can mean I like ___. It can refer to anything depending on context. in this case it was their hands. Just a massive translation error. So instead of a confession it was actually 'I like them (your hands)'. So the 'i love you' was actually 'i like them (your hands)

Right... but the message was understood by Hori, hence the "I understand." It wasn't an explicit confession, it was an implicit one.

22:56 MANGA SPOILERS actually, there is something like that in the manga His ears were closing and then he out the piercings again, but hori accidentaly hit him with a door so it started bleeding So basically she told him not to wear them anymore because it hurts his ears and it seems like by the end of the manga he doesnt wear it anymore Also, its mentioned he got a tongue piercing after his lip one closed, even after meeting Hori
