Dan Carter is considered one of the greatest rugby players in the history of the sport. He holds the all-time international points scoring record, has two World Cup winner’s medals, and spent 12 years as the key playmaker of a team that achieved the highest winning percentage of any international sports team ever. Playing top-level rugby into his late 30s, Carter also helped set a new paradigm for player longevity in a sport that has a painfully high rate of attrition. THE NEW ORDER spoke with Carter about his small-town roots, love of fashion, and the champion mindset required to dominate a sport for almost two decades.
