Hi, this is my testimony. I am a 55 year old menopausal woman. A year ago, I weighed 190 pounds. I started watching Dr. Fung’s videos about intermittent fasting. In February 2024, I started one meal a day. I now weigh 152 pounds. I only need to lose 3 more pounds. I had Hashimoto’s. My antibodies have gone down by 40 percent without medication. My blood sugar is optimal. All my biological markers are optimal. I got a life insurance policy for my kids and got a preferred customer rate because I am now so healthy! It is not hard to do. Dr. Fung should get a Nobel prize for his contribution. Thank you, Dr! 💕💙

I got type 2 diabetes in 2011. I refused diabetes treatment with drugs. I changed my lifestyle, first of all my diet and managed to achieve diabetes remission. 14 years have passed since then. My sugar has normal values, I don't have any consequences of diabetes. My mother, who is now 91 years old, also achieved this. Greetings from Serbia.

I have lost over 90 pounds. I have more to go and I will get that weight off too. It is the only thing that works. Intermittent fasting and a low-carb diet absolutely correct it works.

I’m 71 and had a health emergency in my late 30’s. After going from specialist to specialist and only hearing about drugs with lots of side effects, I went to a Naturopath. Everything you two are talking about now is what he taught me and I turned my health around. In my mid 40’s I took Holistic Nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. The alternative side has been preaching all these things for years and main stream doctors, except for a few, are deaf to anything but drugs. I’ve watched everything Dr. Fung has posted and have been intermittent fasting since July 2024. Never felt better!

Saturated Fat blows my mind, because even if you accept that SatFat is bad (and I don't), all fructose is changed to SatFat by the liver, so every tsp of table sugar is half glucose and half SatFat (calorically at least) once the liver is done.

I gained the 10kg back within a year. This week i started IF again. Insomnia is killing me. I remember having Insomnia when i was doing IF before but until tonight i didn't link the two.... It is the same feeling. Not hungry but agitated. As if i had a red bull before sleep. Is there any solution to this problem?

Because of what they've been (inappropriately) been taught, the lifestyle advice docs give doesnt work and isnt sustainable. So it takes no time at all for the docs to be completely disillusioned with the 'lifestyle' option. From what ive seen, the medical schools that are planning to introduce nutrition training, are working towards 'orthodox' nutrition content, so be careful what you wish for.

There are many, many reasons to fast. Chronic pain relief, metabolic health, brain health, mental clarity, weight management, overall well-being, food/alcohol reset, cancer prevention/treatment, spiritual practice, convenience, body/mind strength exercise, etc. And don't knock the "convenience" factor.
