Josie please don’t change your vlogs to short ones, I personally love the 1 hour vlogs as it is consistent and flows well, compared to start, stop vlogs. Long time follower.👍

What I normally do when my nails break at that point, is use nail glue. So I bend the nail a bit and put the nail glue to the break and then press the nail back in place and hold it until the glue sets. I buff off the excess glue once dry because it will be rough. If it’s a clean break, not much can be done…

I don't see rain as miserable as the soil needs it and the rivers let alone our gardens and trees etc. Seasons bring different weather and we are lucky to have seasons as a lot of countries don't and it would be monotomous to have the same climate all the time - good old British weather suits me. Skin damage otherwise and there is still a lot of that here hence dermatology clinics. I thought it was lovely to hear the rain on your video.

Ye gods there has been a lot of rain up your way. We drove up from London last Tuesday and were heading to The Yurt after you raved about it for lunch. Got to a point where we had to turn around as the road was totally flooded and too dangerous to drive through. Couldn’t believe how much water was lying about the entire Cotswolds. We LOVED The Yurt - totally delicious and catered so well for my coeliac self and my coeliac son. Thanks for the mention - as we would never have gone there.

Josie and Charlie...such kind and generous hearts. I love when you chat about your plans and goals. The gift to your subscribers is wonderful and the inclusion of other makers, farm shops, restaurants will only enrich the Strawtop and Cotswalds experience! Josie...be mindful of adding electrolytes to your water...it is not necessary or beneficial to otherwise healthy people. We give electrolytes to those with specific medical issues, and we monitor their blood levels to ensure their within a normal range. They can cause harm if you receive too much. The larger issue is ingesting microplastics, which can be found in water but particularly plastic bottles of water. There is a very good documentary on microplastics that was just released this year, and can be found on youtube. I think you and Charlie would both find it valuable. I should add that microplastics are found all through the food chain not just water. ❤ The name of the doc is Plastic People.

My grandma and mom are testaments that spf is a must. They grew up in the Asian tropics and now are in Texas, so sun avoidance is impossible. People are surprised when they learn my grandma and mom are in their 80s/60s respectively. Since you live in the UK, I do think you could get away with less spf during the winter. But my question is: why would you want to have to trial-and-error more products than necessary? If you want some vit d, apply sunscreen before you go out for the day, and spend some time in the early morning outside without it! You only need a few minutes a day outside for the recommended vit d absorption.
