I loved watching this! I love how similar it was to my trip with my family in July. I can relate to so many things you mentioned such as cloudy in the morning, cloudy for most of the day in montecito, expensive food! Wholefoods is also worth a visit. But seeing your video so similar to my trip makes me feel good that we did it right!

Also we did erewhon, rosewood Miramar - the concierge guy there was absolutely lovely - he really made our stay - teaching card tricks to the kids. Not your normal concierge guy! We loved Newport beach, Laguna beach! We also went up Laguna Hills to where the pickleball courts are. Now I’m off to watch your other videos.

Glazed. Such a great trip. I live in California and it is a magical place for sure. Your next trip you must visit San Francisco and drive to Yosemite and up the coast and through the redwoods. Not a lot of shopping perhaps but the food and wine are heaven. Monterey/Carmel/SF do have great shops but the scenery is breathtaking.

19:50 Mesquite is an indigenous tree found all throughout the Americas that produces a type of legume (the Mesquite pod) which has been a staple food of indigenous diets for 1000s of years! It’s very hearty, healthy, earthy, a bit sweet, and all around delicious. Flour made from the ground-up Mesquite pods can be used to make cookies, bread, or as an addition to lattes (my personal favorite)! The Mesquite is a crucial plant for the desert ecosystems in the Southwest. Glad you got to experience it in some of your food in CA!

Hi Josie, just to clarify California is known to be very expensive as is NY & Miami but not every state has the same high cost of living. Also fyi, it’s pronounced Ro-DAY-oh Drive - weird I know, even though spelled “Rodeo” but true! California has some interesting pronunciations of streets & places that don’t make sense! Ha! Enjoy!

Hey Josie, sea moss gel is so easy to make! You basically soak the seaweed overnight and then blend it. I prefer to boil it before I blend it but you don't need to. The only problem is that it spoils pretty quickly. That's why I switched to sea moss powder and the taste is a bit more mild. Your trip looked so fun! I'm glad you had a great time ☺️

I ordered it from Farfetch and the only place I could get it from was Greece. I can't wait! I bought the Ralph Lauren Bellport Medium Bucket Bag in Clay Suede months ago and I love it, so I thought I would try the ID style. I have lived in LA my whole life (I’m 51), and it was so much fun seeing California through your eyes! 🩷 Although California has always been expensive compared to most of the US, it has definitely gotten a lot more expensive in the past few years. I do love enjoying a treat or two from Erewhon on occasion, though! 😊 Next time you’re in Newport, you must visit Roger’s Gardens and the farmhouse restaurant there. You would love it!

I’ve been using the Kerastase night serum for years and I’m pretty sure it’s not for your scalp. You’re only supposed to apply to the lengths and ends. Be careful or it might make your roots feel greasy quicker then normal if you apply it that way.

Great video. I was in LA doing Rodeo Drive and Beverley Hills Hotel about 20 years ago..such happy memories. It’s an amazing place to visit. I reenergise going to a great restaurant/ bar that was I. Malibu beach that had about 75 different margaritas and free chips and guacamole….i tried to get through a few each night that I was there …..lol…definitely Glazed! X
