I'm so glad you're reading The Murder Of Roger Ackroyd, it has one of the most phenomenal endings. I don't know if "controversial" is the right way to describe it but it certainly crosses a lot of boundaries that twist endings usually have. But as always, Christie writes it so that everything makes perfect sense in the end.

7:21 Please Read Tokyo Zodiac Murders if you love to figure out the ending of a crime novel. This books challenges you to do it. There is a note in middle of the book that asks you to solve the mystery if you can after giving you all the hints that are needed to solve the crime. 17:35 I would recommend you to read the book. Movie didn't really work for me. But book was a good read.

I absolutely fell in love with Carter's The Company Of Wolves from The Bloody Chamber when I had to read it for a lit course. I reread it every now and then cuz it's so eerie and fairytale-like. I plan to read it during October cuz of the spooky vibes💕

I haven't read Nevernight but from the way you described it, it reminds me a lot of the Book of the Ancestor trilogy by Mark Lawrence! It's about a school where girls are taught by nuns the arts of magic, combat and lots of other interesting stuff :))

Hi emma! I can't tell you the exact name of the fungi, but the ones that are mushroom shaped (with a little stem and a pileus, the top part) and the ones that look like a wood ear are called basidiomycetes because they are from the phylum Basidiomycota!

I really enjoyed The Devil All The Time - I haven't seen the film but I listened to the audiobook and it had really interesting characters, shocking details and great build up of tension. I would definitely recommend!

Nevernight is one of favorite fantasy trilogies. J. Kristoff's writing is addicting. I'm currently reading Empire of the Vampire and it is so good! I really enjoy your channel. @@wandering0wonderland this is my only du Maurier, but i’m interested in My Cousin Rachel! i’ve heard it’s good for fans of Rebecca.. as for other Gothic novels, The Picture of Dorian Gray and Frankenstein are immensely popular, but rightfully so! i’m also a big fan of The Haunting of Hill House, although it would be considered more modern classic? i’m wanting to check out more Gothic classics too, so good luck!!! i hope you find some pleasurable reads ♥️🤍

I picked up 'let the right one in' by John Ajvide Lindqvist for spooky season, really liking it so far, some weird, creepy things going on in a very gray and gloomy atmosphere. And John definitely doesn't seem to shy away from telling you the gory, yucky stuff that you just don't wanna know, but you wanna know 😉
