Another cozy Sunday with Christy Anne Jones ❤! Love the sound of your soft voice when I wake up. Whether it’s books read or writhing, you inspire a lot of people. I remember when I first watched your video, you read The Lord of Rings, and I was like, man she’s one hell of a reader!

Congratulations on the new car! I, too, drive a car without a back-up camera, lol. You know, I was on the fence about whether to read Orbital this month, but your video convinced me to get it from the library. I'll start reading it later today! Can't wait to hear your full review. I also added Our Wives Under the sea to my TBR list. Your description of the relationship is really intriguing. Anyway, congrats again on the car, I hope it's a nice, fun, reliable vehicle!

I know what you mean about cars. I’ve upgraded from a 2003 Corolla to a RAV4 Cruiser. It doesn’t arrive for another three months. I’m still using the original CD sound system but now I just use my phone. I waited so long that I saved the money for it. And I know the day my old car goes I’m going to cry because I’ve had her for 21 years. I just bought James to read but I might re-read Huck Finn (or Tom Sawyer) first.

Congrats on the car!! You'll have to take us to the beach for a day in your life seaside edition. 😉 I'm happy to hear you enjoyed Orbital. There's a 15 wk wait time to borrow it at my library, so I won't be able to read it for book club. But I'm really curious about it now.

I just thought of an author recommendation in case you don't know her: Sarah Waters! She writes gorgeous historical novels and her prose and characterization are incomparable. I would recommend Affinity, which is a gothic novel set in London in the 1870's, mainly in a women's prison, and Tipping The Velvet, a queer coming of age story set in England in the 1890's and partly centered around the theatre world.

Hello ! I recently discovered your channel and I've been bingewatching your content for the past two weeks! I love the atmosphere of your videos so much. Also, I'm watching you from France, and I wanted to recommend a book that has been written by a French author and traduced in English recently. I think you'll really like as it is a fantasy book inspired by the esthetic of the studio Ghibli. It's called "A winter's promise", and it's the beginning of a four books series. Thank you for this video and sorry if my English is not great, I'm still learning it and your videos help me practise it ☀

Girl, how is the publishing process going? I get you don't want to update randomly when there's nothing to say, but as a writer in editing, the process interests me so much, to know what to prepare for😂🤎

loved this vlog! I did love the metaphor in Our Wives Under the Sea and the way it deals with its main theme, however I was just bored the whole time… I know the pacing serves the message but… it was LONG for a 300-page book haha

How do you guys find these kinds of books? I scroll through reddit and good reads but its just same old thing. Whenever I bookshop without researching first, a lot of times I just cant get through it
@aamnahere62503 күн бұрын
Book shopping without researching is indeed risky. I think reading a few chapters can help figure out if the author's style of writing is compatible to what you're interested in.

I have mixed feelings about Orbital. I listened to it and found it really hard to follow. It was so repetitive (I guess the title hints at this!). Perhaps a hard copy will be better for me, too.

Funny, how Booker prize took a novei, in which Russian cries that the collapse of the USSR was catastrophe. We in Ukraine feel every day this tragedy of poor-poor Russian imperialists, that lost their colonies
