That's a good design for the mug! Very clever! And you have given me many things to think about regarding meaning. I have been interacting on networking sites a lot more recently and have been puzzled by some of their behaviours. Your explanation of the search for meaning among young people helped me clarify (or at least start to) my puzzlement.

As an abstract artist myself, I was very interested in learning more about Arthur Kwon Lee. Went to his website, clicked on his Instagram link, and whaddya know..."link is broken." When you search him on Instagram he doesn't exist. Unreal. Instagram is a huge platform for artists, and he is obviously being frozen out. 😢

Pastor, what is meant by "despair of God's mercy?" It's a phrase in an old prayer in an old hymnal. I'm not sure what it means.
@teacon72 жыл бұрын
Veeery interesting. You should speak about this more, to give people words ot say/think when discussing this topic. Notice also that in hte 'meaning and purpose' space is Jordan Petersen, who comes at this from a historical-critical, Jungian evolutionary psychology approach... which... is still in the final analysis unsatisfactory. But It'd be great ot have someone engage him seriously from a Lutheran perspective.

No word about the glorious victory of the protection of children? Our church has been quiet about this. I’m confused? Shouldn’t we, as a church, be praying in thanksgiving?

I've never been one to think more inside the box than outside... but thinking of the old proverb, "those who forget history is doomed to repeat it" & all the goings on with today's gun control battles (fed & st.s) I'm wondering if there is a solid link with the book of Samuel2 ? As I'm aware that this is a very controversial topic & not one with a speedy process (research, hypnosis, drafts, & conclusionary "reporting") . . . Not saying that I'd expect a video describing pro's &/or con's about notions... But, I would appreciate if you could advise me if at any level if I'm correlating the two together correctly or if I'm way off base.
@torchofkck49892 жыл бұрын
Because a large portion of the populace believes that "gun control" is utmost about populace control.

Hey everyone! I'm new to Wolfmueller and just started listening to his book Has American Christianity Failed?...the audio book of it off Logos. Anyways, I'm on the main chapter 1 I guess (just over an hour long) and as he started going against decision making, all of a sudden I got concerned and was hoping he's not a universal salvationist. Can anyone quickly let me know where he stands on that issue, instead of me going through videos and the 10 hours of the audio book? Is he a universal salvationist or does he believe in the elect being saved?
@Jessard1872 жыл бұрын
He's not a universalist don't worry. He holds to monergistic salvation (meaning God gets all the credit. He elects us.) But rejects the idea that we're elected to damnation. You can check out some of his other videos here for a fuller explanation.

I have a few issues with some of this. The Revolutionary war ended in 1783, the constitution was ratified in 1788. Many states had already abolished slavery then we fought a war resulting in 600,000 American deaths (20% of our population) to end slavery all within 73 year of our official beginning as a single country. Find any other country that started with slavery and abolished it within a single lifetime. Africa still has slavery and there are more slaves worldwide today than there were in the 1860’s. Also how come nobody in the Lutheran Church is talking about the overturn of Roe V Wade?!?! Isn’t this what we prayed for? Now that every state will have a vote THIS IS THE TIME TO WORK HARDER!
@flamingmonferno2 жыл бұрын
Most of the pastors that I knew who talked about it were works of mouth. So I only know of three or four Lutheran congregations personally happy with it from what I know. It’s pretty much knowing of something like this by word of mouth which is sad.

Realistically everything you buy is sold by a company that also sells things that represent ideals opposed to your own. If you only bought things from companies that did not also sell things that opposed your worldview you would never buy anything at all. Good luck with that...

Love your videos. Very educational and helpful. I would humbly suggest that you don’t distort what the “other side” is saying. You implied that the worldly environmentalists say that the problem is people breathing out carbon dioxide. That’s a distorted view of what they say. In my mind you lose credibility when you distort what the “other side” is saying. When I hear you distort, I wonder what else is he distorting that my RADAR does not pick up? Maybe I shouldn’t listen to him. He twists the truth. I don’t want other seekers that watch your vids to wonder the same thing about you and stop watching you. I will continue to watch your vids. Thx for your time and effort. 🙂

Yep. A crisis I'd say pastor for sure... the secret to filling the Black vóid in your soul is... repent and turn away from your sin, believe in Christ, embrace the wonderful Lutheran doctrine you are given so freely of Christ and stop sidestepping around it like it is a pile of pope... Repent and believe God... but boy... Like melanchthon, you are a great teacher of our age, but when you stray from Luther you end up in bed with the reformed... But praise God who has made you a mighty man of God whether you like it or not. :) V VII V IV O VIII O VIII VIII I. I don't cower behind screens. Call me if you want.

Here is your Meaning: Christ and Him Crucified. Here is your purpose: Preach and Administer Word and Sacrament rightly, hear confession of sins, and forgive the repentant their sins in the stead of and by the command of Christ, of whom you are a called and ordained servant, Pastor Wolfmueller. Not your meaning nor purpose: Whining when God doesn't do what your stalwart German heart thinks He should. Pouring and throwing down your theology so to refuse to speak about theology to people who like to when you can't articulate your point and want to cry about it instead, making KZbin videos, drinking coffee, fighting with irish monks, and potlucks. Although all those things are pretty fun I do admit. I throw down theology all the time... the Mormons come to me with questions about the trinity... not vice versa... but I point them to God, Savior of all Idiots, especially Wolfmueller and I, I'd say

You lost me when you said American was founded by white men doing oppression. Maybe you should open a history book and learn about the very real faith of the Founder and the Christian principles on which this country was founded. I believe God's had was in it. Most were not slave owners and fought to abolish slavery. Your comments are beyond ignorant. Your telling seemed to give the impression you believed it.
