Pretty cool. I've been active on the TwistyPuzzles Forum since 2012, but it's interesting to hear about the 1980 mailing lists, and the founding of the TwistyPuzzles Museum and Forum, even though it's very briefly. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to Part 2 (considering this is Part 1).

It *is* 24 under quarter turn metric, though.

24 (QTM) and 20 (HTM) are both under 25.

This is awesome. I started cubing in 1999 and was a daily visitor to twisty megasite, and started my collection with mostly puzzles I got from eBay. And meffets. I remember when speedsolving.com started and got involved for a while but then had some real life issues and got out of cubing for about 10 years. I've recently gotten back into it again and am amazed at all the progress both in speedcubes and large order cubes.

How fast were the top cubers before the 2000s and the wca bc I always thought of how good they were during that time.

At 1:43, WTF? How did you land on a photo of Aamir Khan? FYI- He's a Bollywood actor, and Bollywood is the Indian equivalent of Hollywood.

I'm fairly certain I just looked up "guy in intense thought" and that came up, I don't know.
