A Curious Discovery in the Elden Ring DLC Final Boss Arena [SPOILERS] (Re-Upload)

I made a curious discovery when exploring the arena where you fight the final boss of the Shadow of the Erdtree. Audio On!

It’s entirely possible that the change was functional - that the entire arena being red and fleshy made it difficult to distinguish details or track movement, or perhaps simply didn’t look as good in-game as the trailer due to lighting issues, texture problems, or what have you. Either that, or they wanted to make it abundantly clear that those corpses are there because of Marika alone, and not because Miquella has sacrificed a fresh batch of Hornsent.

I think the answer should be at least partly obvious if we remember some of the things Ansbach says if you go through his quest. Miquella abducted Mohg's body. He had plans for the Lord of Blood. My guess has been that either A) Mohg was the intended consort rather than Radahn but they scrapped bit because Mohg is...well...Mohg. Or B) Mohg was going to be phase 1, and then Mikey assassinates him to resurrect Radahn for phase 2.
