@@totaldramagamer5521 Chaos cults are often secret especially Slaneeshi and Tzeentchian ones in-lore Although NIKKEs are akin closer to Dark Age of Technology inventions and they often don't have sentient souls that can affect chaos or even The Warp (much closer to Necrons), but Mechanicus would be interested as long as the NIKKEs don't trigger deranged fetishes akin to scat or fapping to barb wires and Drukhari-level of tortures with dozens of combined drugs into excesses alongside their stimulated living human hosts (also Dark Mechanicum and Vashtorr to try ascending into 5th chaos god are currently a big thing too)

I'm really happy about my 2024 New Years Blessing and getting 2 Liter, Pepper, Signal, Modernia, Folkwagon dupe, Nero, Maxwell, Scarlet Black Shadow, and Miranda... All within 80 pulls. All I'm hoping for is to get Red Hood (and Dorothy, Rapunzel, and Nihilister, a liberation non-gacha unit; for Pilgrim tower), and the PVP gods, i.e. Jackal and Biscuit.

My favorites to listen to is Satellites from the Goddess of Victory event that I have in the command room jukebox, and then Dilemma from the Perilous Siege squad event (the two assassin girls, D and K and K isn't released yet) that I play in the main menu lobby.

@@HarderThanHardDifficulty K is def underrated and I'm really sad she's not available yet. She's one of the top 10 in terms of design, imo. I'm not sure who I would consider to be the best designed. I like the more militarized / serious styles like Poli or D or Privaty. My favorite Counters member is Rapi; both cus of her character and partially because her EN VA is the same as Genshin's Keqing EN VA.

I actually posted a separate comment before seeing other people talking about the costume gacha, but what I haven't seen anyone talk about is the fact that you're guaranteed to get the costume "eventually". There's a reward list, and each time you pull something other than the costume you want that reward gets removed from the list. So if you're REALLY wanting a costume (and don't mind spending $70-$80 if you keep failing to pull it) you will eventually have a 100% chance to get the costume once you've received all other possible rewards on the list.

I'd also like to give a shoutout to the other big name doujin composers that Cosmograph got, such as Feryquitous, ESTi, BlackLolita, AJURIKA, and Karut. As someone who follows the doujin music scene and knows their past works, this is Nikke's biggest draw for me as the OST's quality is guaranteed. The guest composers just add more hype, as Cosmograph got composer from Tekken(AJURIKA) and Blue Archive (Karut), games that are well known for their good OSTs

it was rough at first month but it got improved overtime and devs actually listened to playerbase. like by the time i comment on this, they buffed Red Hood Burst 3 damage almost by twice because of backlash on reddit. and somehow the game made top 5 of gacha revenue almost every month as well.

3:00 I would say that "Corruption" is the disease for Nikkes, but the effects feel more like a Khorne Possession, imagine if there is a Rapture-fication where Nikkes gets corrupted but their bodies warp and mutate turning into those like half organic Raptures like Chatterbox, Blacksmith, Ultra Z.E.U.S and The Collector, and considering how the Red Hood Event, they describe of finding a failed Nikke-Rapture Fusion Amalgamate. Anyways overall good review, loved the humour and editing, keep it up

The twisted experiments that the raptures did to fuse the nikkes are what the Heretics that we see now in the game. Remember Marian shes all busted up and broken without legs and when we saw her next shes all fix with a different body. Thats the amalgamation of corruption with fusion of rapture parts

As many Nikke Enjoyers have said, came for the booba, stayed for the story. Solid and hilarious review of the game. I picked up Nikke on a whim during the chainsaw man collab figuring I'd drop it in a few days like I have other gacha games, but between the story and actually needing to strategize at times to push through content I'm finding myself enjoying this game way more than I expected. The music is fire, the waifus cover all the tropes to the point that they even give you Crow to hate, the story while not perfect is pretty good and the devs listen. Doesn't hurt that the game is pretty generous to f2p players if you make good use of resources. And the Mid Hood thing aside (she's getting buffed!) the anniversary event has been as good as Over Zone if not better depending on what you think about the mini game which is all I wanted out of the event.

Nikke has genuinely become the go to gacha game for me. I've had times where I've either put down the one for a few weeks like FGO and PGR or I've slowed down my playtime like with Genshin or Honkai despite being a Mihoyo bootlicker. But I literally never remember a time where I didn't want to play Nikke. I love the general gameplay, and the characters and setting have incredible charm and effort put into them. Also helps that Shift Up has been pretty great at listening to their playerbase. They've made plenty of QOL adjustments to the game since it first came out, and even recently decided to buff Red Hood, a character people were anticipating for a literal year after the last minute nerf. I mean, you have to commend that they bothered remove Makima's coat after all the chaos it caused in the fanbase.

@@Exel3nce Well for PGR, I haven't permanently left the game, but I've had instances where I've been burned out from playing it. It's pretty good with a generous gacha, but I'm not as invested as I am with other games. Now Makima's coat is an insane story. During the CSM collab, it was released that Makima's coat would cover up her trunk. Considering that not only was Nikke advertised with big bums and but the internet was obsessed with Makima's ass, a lot of fans who hate when coats and hair block the view weren't happy. It gotten so bad that Shift Up made an update that removed her coat. I'll admit, it was really funny seeing the whole thing unfold.

Same, my "main" gacha game is/was FGO and I still haven't managed to sit down and finish LB6 where I've played nikke consistently for like a year. Something about the events/gameplay loop is easier deal with whereas every time I see an event in FGO I have to mentally prepare myself to get through it lol. Still love the game though, maybe I'm just burned out.

@@ENORELXD2 Well Nikke is built around being able to play through short bursts, while FGO is much more focused around grinding for hours to get through the game. It's why back-to-back events for that game can be so exhausting because you're expected to but way more time into FGO events than most of gacha games' events. It's even more painful because those events can hold pretty cool welfare servants, and one of the worst feeling you can have playing FGO is missing out on one of those welfare servants because you either missed the event entirely, or didn't grind enough to finish the event story.

The randomness in this game is quite interesting, I didn’t invest a penny in the game and calmly almost got to the mommy dragon with a pretty good team, while other people with higher levels are still complaining about the 160 lvl wall.

As an active player since launch, I can confirm this review is objectively correct. The rates are workable even for free to play players. The story is fantastic and there are dozens of side-stories in the campaign to add more worldbuilding and flavor to it. The gameplay is good when you strategize your squads, especially on later levels with unique gimmicks and raids with multiple squad requirements. Overall, good stuff.

While I was living in Japan, Nikke had medium sized pillows at the arcades with one side of a girl with a gun and the other side with a full ass shot of the character. Nikke def knows its player base when it comes to their merch

It's interesting how Nikke makes you work for your rewards, but is quite generous if you can endure the daily grind. The developers did a similar thing with the original release of their previous game, DESTINY CHILD, back when it was only available in korean. The handouts were so ridiculous that a casual collector could comfortably get every single unit in the game and still have loads of resource to spare without paying a single dollar (before I quit the game, I was regularly above 100k crystals, when a 10-pull was only 2.8k, and the pull rates were as high as Nikke's). Eventually, an event was introduced that would cater to new players with entry-level missions, and in exchange provide maxed-out units for free, no strings attached. The crux was that the powercreep was so intense that you were forced to pull for any new units to get through event challenges, and you'd have no business stepping even one foot into the whale-infested waters of the PVPsea, unless you decided to empty your pockets, your inheritance, and most of your free time buying recources, managing limited inventory, and upgrading every unit separately - twice.

As someone who had been playing since the first month and stopped recently (and came back for the anniversary), I'd say the biggest issue is the artificial difficulty wall which is basically just time-gating most progression until you've raised your Nikkes enough. They barely even give you a chance to overcome that with strategy, since handicap your team for being unleveled.

Actually really good video, you showed parts of the game that appeal to both people who have already played the game and newcomers with good humor in between, In my experience is hard to find good nikke content on youtube so it's really nice to see well crafted videos like this, looking foward to more content be it related to nikke or not. At first, I stayed for "The plot" as well. Now look at me, bawling my eyes cause of a cat event story. Getting hyped cause of its music, and drawn towards the beautiful story telling of this game. I can't not recommend this game, play it right now as well to get one of the best free nikke out there to help your start up. Truly, nikke is one of the best gacha games I played out of all the gacha games I played (yes, I played fgo, ak, guardian tales, genshin, honkai impact, star rail, blue archive, and more) this one really takes the cake with its massive cake... Hello, You convinced me to try the game. The story is an easy 9/10 for my taste. The gameplay for killing bosses is great. Got really lucky with anniversary event and got four copies of Red Hood who is hard carrying, and I managed to get 4 stars of Snow White Innocent days. My sole complaint is that I'm too weak to keep playing the story when I want more.

If it helps, It will take some time but eventually you get used to the slower pace. If you get up to date with the story you'll be able to blast through the next chapters when they release them as you accumulate power.
