Is there a reason ppl don't buikd these houses on utility trailers? Like a deck over? You would have an extra 2 feet at least of width...

You lose interior height that way. To fit under bridges and overpasses, the home must be under 13ft 6 inches. By using a deck over, you increase the trailer height and decrease the head height inside the home. Also, a utility trailer may not have the GVWR needed to support the weight of a tiny home. You may not be able to evenly insulated the floor as well.

At 10’ width you need a special permit and licensed driver. The narrower width allows anybody to tow their own trailer as long as it meets the height requirements.

This is a fantastic build... and the outside patio is something similar I have added to a design I am working on... overall I think they nailed it... only a few small tweaks I would have suggested.... changing the color of the venting at the kitchen kick plate to black... adding a storage box below the fridge and lifting it up a few more inches... and maybe some hanging storage someplace... since there is not much clothing storage... but over all based on the size... its fantastic!

I have the skills to make my own, ive built many homes and buildings during my life. Problem i run into is all my machine shop machinery. I am also 6'4" and i cant barely fit in "normal" living spaces lol. Id have to make.like a 3 medium tiny home cluster, or little village. 2 of them completely gutted to fit all my shop stuff.

So far haven't seen anything new - lots of people have made patios like that one and some are nicer. Nice place but really small, and not much storage space. The ladder can be a problem for many but ok for young folk but if you're using it for an airbnb probably be all right

Great aesthetic, but the crawl-in-bedroom is a non-starter for most.

Bit too white/bright for my tastes and I personally hate the bathroom sink, but the layout isn't horrible. One thing I would change is replacing the bar area with a mid-sized chest freezer. This could be a good wilderness cabin and having a chest freezer would be great for storing fish, deer, and other game meat. I'd also like to see a more storage in the loft area, as well as more storage near the door or porch. The open loft storage is nice, but having some closed storage would be even better since I saw absolutely no place for seasonal bedding/blankets, coats, or other heavy garments. Additionally, $100k+ is way too much for this thing. For that price, you can get a class A RV with loads more storage indoors and out and the same/better layout and get ultimately the exact same living style. To each their own though! Where are people supposed to put their clothes? Hang their coats? Why not think more like campervan designers when building a tiny home and use the space in more creative ways? There is no room for a table to work or dine at, except for that potential counter under the windows. Once people move in, their stuff is all over the place and the tiny home is a huge mess. 😊

Too small and bath and bed need to be on the same floor. Who wants to climb or descend a ladder during the night to go to the bathroom..nicely done, looks sharp but VERY IMPRACTICAL.
