What an amazing speech. It's a shame they don't have initiatives like this for adults as I feel like I've given up on life after so many horrible set backs and I'd love something that would give me focus and feel like someone believes in me as I have suffered from cripplingly low self confidence and it's hard to get anywhere like that and with no one to support or believe in you.

You say to surround yourself with people who support you, which sounds lovely. But you were born into a big loving and supportive family who created an environment for you to flourish and succeed in, and I am very happy for you. But many of us don’t have such a support network, and it’s not like you can just go out and find it. In today’s world everyone is so busy and self occupied that unless you are blessed with a supportive family you don’t have anyone that you can turn to. I understand that you meant it well, but unfortunately not everyone is as fortunate.
