A DAY AT THE STABLES - SHEATH CLEANING
Come and join me for a day at the yard, mucking out the horses and having there sheaths cleaned
Here I share my journey from a complete novice horse rider to now competing at horse of the year (HOYS) shows whilst being a completely self-taught equestrian.
I have failed so many times over the years but always learnt something from it, I hope that my KZbin channel will be able to help teach you all the little bits that nobody seems to share and help progress you on your riding journey quicker than I did on mine.

Equifest day 2 - • The last ever equifest...
I compete my 4 Welsh section D cobs regularly in both in hand and ridden showing, from local level shows, affiliated, WPCS, RIHS, to HOYS qualifiers,
Willow - 11yr old Welsh section D - Sooty palomino
Gambler - 9yr old Welsh section D - Black roan
Champ - 7yr old Welsh section D - Buckskin
Donut - 2yr old Welsh section D - Chestnut roan
I am a completely self-taught horse rider who has a big dream to compete at HOYS, why not follow my journey to see if we can make it,
I'm not perfect and I make mistakes but what we learn from it is what truly matters.

I regularly upload videos and vlogs on what me and my equines get up to and also some 'How to' videos for my beginner riders and fellow equestrians.
If you have any questions, then please leave me a comment and I will get back to you.

Can I just say, the stall latches being low enough so you use your foot and keep your hands free is genius! ❤

My, you don’t stop. Great post, really informative, well done that lady. Yes the things one has to think about now was never a thing when I started back in the day, 1966, I don’t ride anymore but miss it greatly. Looking forward to you starting show season. Hope parents evening went well. 😉

I had my first pony in 1979 we didn't have back checks our saddles were it'll do ,sheath cleaning was unheard of and a lot of what we did would be frowned on now .looking back I think how on earth did we get away with it. Horses today have so much more things available I wish we had year's ago

Wow Karen that’s one big bean. I’ve been doing my gelding for about 20 yrs now just once in the summer myself. But if I find a bean I have a friend at the barn to get it out lol I can never seem to grab hold of the beam. But come nicer weather he will b done . All your boys there are beautiful and you care for them beautifully. Good luck with next show with Willow ♥️🏇🏻🥇

Karen when showing. Do you always have to have welshies mane's cut so short. Mare has a beautiful long mane and thick tail. Seems so horrid to cut it.🙈

Great video bless them all, they were good boys, think someone years ago said to put a bit of lard up there to help, I don't know if that's the right thing to do. 😂

Thank you, yes im pleased with how they all behaved she cleaned them with KY jelly and water so i suppose if i squirted some KY up willow in a couple of months that may help soften anything for it to natuarly come out

Never mentioned yrs ago, always told self cleaning. I do my geldings about every 4/5 months if needed, theyre pink skinned and seem to be the worst, it's one of those things you don't want to overclean lose the natural balance, some are just dirtier. I've never removed a bean that big tho😮. Made my eyes water, Willow definitely needs doing more regularly before a bean gets that big. Get your gloves out Karen, 😂

Yes i was always told they were self cleaning, I will give it a goo if i need to to help willow but i wouldnt have a clue what im doing 😂 so it may just be the wiser option to get her out again in 6 months to see to him 😂 x

Think my lad needs his sheath cleaned, he's always had itchy back legs, but it's become obvious it's something in his crotch!!! I wouldn't have a clue how to clean it, I've tried (having watch a few KZbinvids), but I don't think I did much good!!
