When I worked as a security guard I would take my family behind the shark tank to let them pet them.....they felt like sandpaper.

Doing everything you paid for. That's the point. And a zoo visit should mean being there most if not all day. Of of my most favorite days were spent with my kids walking around to see the animals. They are the key to happiness and a gateway to our past and future.

You are speaking the truth! I will touch or feed any animal that comes in my personal space. Got close to an aligator in the wild, had a pet raccoon (rescue), made friends with opossum, hand feed wild birds, love insects and spiders and the list goes on. My black friends are appalled! Why is there such a difference in cultures? I also worked in a mortuary with the deceased which really bothered some friends. But then again, my family doesn't understand my love for animals either.

I get you, friend/Cousin! I'm the SAME WAY. I love animals and love any chance to interact with animals. I also had a pet racoon that was a rescue when she was a baby kit. I also had a pet skunk ( descented), and I seem to attract all kinds of animals. I also worked for a funeral home doing makeup, a long time ago.😘👍

I remember going with my parents to the zoo since I was 3 years old. At 5 years old I was at the circus to watch tigers training. At 10 I paid for an after show backstage photo with a boa constrictor while holding it around my neck. But that wasn't enough adrenaline for me so I took elephant ride too while feeding it some long french bread sticks. What can I say, gotta love nature (and your white friends) Josh! You and your family have a blessed new year :)

You need to go to Pine Mountain Zoo outside Columbus. You can either Ford in a bus with others (no windows) or drive your own vehicle thru the park. The animals roam freely and come up to car and you can feed EVERY ONE! I love it!

When I worked in a pet store I'd walk around with a live tarantula just chilling on me, that would intrigue most kids. Terrify most adults.

They're hairy, calm and aren't superfast to bite... make good pets!

@@SinginHigh species dependant rose or golden hair are ideal but I know storms hurt their habitat, so they aren't as easy to get like they were.

I was working the security the day our giraffe escaped....you don't realize how big a giraffe is until you look up at one from a golf cart lol

need to go to an aquarium with us. if the opportunity presents itself, we're happy to stick out hands into tanks with all sorts of creatures. I personally like the feel of sharkskin, so long as i'm rubbing it with the grain. rub against and your fingers ain't got skin no more.

I got a zoo 4 blocks from my house up here in Buffalo. It's great, go whenever you want. But when summer hits, you can find the zoo like you're toucan Sam.
