5 hours of editing for a blog is a lot. Do you outline the story before hand? It helps me save editing time to outline the story and sketch few main scenes. It takes time, and thinking before hand. But it drastically cuts the shooting time and excessive material.

I don't know your plans, but if they include children then life will not slow down, it will get busier. My experience in life is that it gets busier as you get older since you gain more responsibility whether that is marriage, children, aging parents, a home, more responsibility at work, further education, and more. Since you grow as those responsibilities grow it doesn't always feel busier as you're able to handle more than you could before.
