This is my hometown and I realised how lucky I am to live there and to be able to go hiking on just random days. Four minutes in and I’m already crying. I’ve been to Switzerland twice during summer as an Aupair (summer 2023/2024). I miss it everyday. I’m from Madrid (Spain), and even though I love my city and country with all my heart, the beauty and peace this country fills my soul with is otherworldly. I long to go back there as soon as possible. I already speak French perfectly and I have signed up for a German course to master the two main languages that are spoken there. safety as a solo female traveller is definitely the top priority ! I've found the best way is to ease into it- go on a trip with someone else (even if it's just a short road trip) and stay on an extra few days by yourself, that way you get familiar with the area before you're on your own
