First aid kit is very dependent on the person and the area they run in. For me I have to carry an Epi-pen and also several post exposure wipes for poison ivy. Good video though.

Yep, I love that Ciele hat, and have the same one. I have another Ciele hat too, they're the best!

Short bills good for rainy days or hunting season where I might not wear a hat otherwise (Got one in bright orange.) Ciele needs to sponsor you for always rocking their logo.. their hats are perfect

I absolutely agree with getting the bigger volume vest. the difference in weight and pack down size is next to nothing. Also, for summer time I love to fill a bladder full of Ice and water (very heavy on the ice) for the back panel. It is a game changer on a hot day!
@MountainHighLife3 күн бұрын
oh my gosh that sounds like such a gamer changer- I never thought of that! absolutely genius!!
@josiebones13 күн бұрын
@@MountainHighLife I have a relatively short drive to my trail heads, 15-20 minutes, but if it's any longer I put the bladder in a small cooler and cover it with an ice block. That keeps the ice from melting really well.
@YouTubedarekКүн бұрын
Another vote for your first vest being on the larger volume side! After a couple of years, I've now bought a 6L as well (since it's more than enough most of the time) but 12L was the way to go to start off.

I’ve go the 7s as well and really want to go bigger, but it really is big! Hard for everyday wear, fitting under a long sleeve top, etc. 😭

that's my only fear with the size up- I pray that one day athleisure will be an acceptable form of business casual so we can wear athletic apparel at the office LOL

cant do hats with buttons on top. My sweat oxidizes with the metal and crystalizes on it, meaning there's a white gross sweat-encrusted button that is impossible to clean off. If the hat is light colored, the metal rusts from the sweat and streaks onto the hat. Just go without a button top. Also, good advice on satellite/locator beacon. Apple 14 has SOS satellite.

This is a great area! One of the runs that I enjoy is to start at Coyote Ridge, run to the key hole at Devil's Backbone, then run back for a 20 mile long run. Beautiful area that I never take for granted.

I got to hike all three loops at Devil’s Backbone when visiting in August. Saw lots of rattlesnakes on the trail, but I guess that’s not an issue this time of year!

It’s got that little technical section, but if you hike it, you’ll be fine :) For the most part it’s pretty flowy and smooth. That’s trail running though- it’s got a little spice factor

Ha, so relatable. I’m also looking to get back into climbing after finishing my last big race for the season. I love running but it’ll be nice to mix it up a bit more this winter. :)
@hibiru686825 күн бұрын
I'm one of those people that likes waking up early (3-4am everyday) and being on trail early. That's another reason why I love summer since I can be on trail at 5-6am and it's still light. I run for enjoyment so I want to see what's around me. My hope for this winter is to fix my calf issues so I can build my mileage back up, make my posterior chain and core stronger, and lose 20-25lbs. I'll be ecstatic if I can accomplish all three goals but the calf and the weight are a must in my mind.
