Grace & Ryosuke, I wanted to thank you. I'm a SAHM and a caregiver for my husband. I rarely make it out of state much less the country. I don't know how I found your videos and I was never obsessed with Japan before but coming along on your adventures makes it feel like I'm on a mini vacation. Thank you for sharing the beauty of Japan with us. Please eat more delicious food! I love those videos as much as you love making them. P.S. you guys are adorable. Obviously so much in love, completely perfect for each other.

Hi Grace and Ryosuke, just wanted to say I love your videos. I lived in Japan for 14 years and married a Japanese girl 15 years ago. I have just bought your 3 comic books and sadly I'm coming back to Japan next week to lay my beautiful wife to rest as she passed away after fighting cancer a month ago. Keep posting the vids as they are keeping me positive :) Darren

The moment at 10.04 when Ryoske puts his hand on Grace's shoulder and she glows :-) :-) :-) Ryoske and Grace's marriage reminds me of a few of my friends who married their best friends. Grace, Thanks to you both for taking us along on your "dream vacation". You've discovered what I found out. That if you get to a place super early, usually you can avoid the "crowd"! You waste some extra sleep but gain extra convenience.
@TexaninTokyo8 жыл бұрын
Yeah! It's hard waking up so early (and for those first 45 min I usually regret all my life choices) but after a bit of coffee, I can function again. And it's SO nice being able to get that extra couple of hours to sight-see, while everyone else is asleep.

Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah, I was kinda trying to avoid very touristic places and it was definitely worth it! I know right, Japan's nature is so beautiful. To everyone wondering about the white leafs: The Goshiki-numa are vulcanic ponds and contain lots of minerals. I've never been there, so I never tried to taste the water, but I bet it's salty. The leafs might become white while dipping into the water on windy days. BTW, I was a bit irritated by your visit of Fukushima, because theres a prefecture of Fukushima, a town called Fukushima and when the world speaks about the catastrophe the exploded power plant, it's also Fukushima. But you were about 70 Km away from it, weren't you?

Hey guys I just have only seen about 3 or so videos of your channel this video included. I have to say I really enjoyed this video and the journey you two shared in it. The castles and culture was incredible as well as the views. I grew up with Japanese Californians where I lived and enjoy them as people so much. I have such respect for the Japanese people. I can tell your husband is a really nice and genuine person. I commend you for moving to Japan to be a part of his culture which takes some bravery. You guys make a good couple. My boy is 1/2 Japanese and what we call a Hapa. His grandfather is greatest man I know. He has taught me things that no one else has and I am closer to him then my own father because of how humble and smart he is. I have always wanted to know even more about the Japanese culture so I can share it with my kid. Watching your videos has help me understand more of the culture and people of Japan from different perspectives. The few videos I have seen have made me see things so differently in a good way. I was wondering would it be possible for you guys to do a video on this subject which is the Oban the small shrine that is keep for a family member who has passed away. If you can explain the meanings of it and details. What the Modern Japanese people think or do this practice or not if they no longer do it. I like to share the knowledge of this with my boy. Thank you so much and keep up the good work. P.S. The old man with the Bow and Arrow reminds me so much of my boys grandfather. Very patient and kind. I enjoyed seeing old guy happy doing what he did at the castle tourist spot. Getting a glimpse of the everyday people in Japan in your video is a great window into understand japanese people and culture try to put more of them in the videos if you can. Thanks.
