It seems so chill there. You’re so blessed to be in such surroundings, to avoid the stressors of “keeping up with the Jones,” acquiring wealth and so-called success, greed and selfishness for the price of losing your soul. Stay grounded and open to learning more about the people and culture. I look forward to seeing the lessons you impart for us.

That’s terrific! All you really here is that there are no jobs in many African countries for the diaspora but its great to hear that no only have you found employment but that you’re learning about an industry. From Chicago (Westside)✌🏿💕💕💕

Too much negative things been said about Africa. I guess it’s been designed to keep us apart. I’m also from The Gambia and been living in Chicago for the past 6 years. I’ve been questions about many things that I’ve to correct about the Africa.

Congratulations 🎉🎉 for this job Rickie I'm happy for you. God bless you!! Yes, honestly 'work' is a blessing. Being productive is good because in the end it makes you feel accomplished and that has a positive effect on your mental health. I used to work in a fast food restaurant as a college student (I literally graduated this may, so really like last year I was working there). And I always enjoyed working there during the summer because if I didn't I would just be at home doing nothing. I felt accomplished because I was able to save money and gain experience, although my field is different than fast food or restaurant manager

I’m glad you found work that fits who you are! I like your relationship with life! lol yes you just always have a good attitude about any situation you encounter, and life rewards you for cooperating! Good things come to those who wait, and wait with a good and right attitude, like treating people with kindness and respect, that’s you, and just keep moving forward, there are more good things in front of you, you are a light that the universe uses to brighten that path that others may follow! Stay free!!

I love cats....I have 6. 3 male and 3 female. When I come to Gambia from Washington Dulles I have a lady come and feed them and clean their litter boxes every day for $13 day. When I see cats in The Gambia I always speak to them and feed them. When I stay at The Coco Ocean hotel I had a cat follow me to my suite and stayed on my balcony the whole time I was there.

Hello Sister Ricki, i saw this video today as a Gambian i felt bad. I wish you used emojis to cover that guy's face, he said he is single in the video but i doubt it. please the next time you have those kind of guys following you around please do stop them, put sense into their heads cause most if not all of them are illiterate. If you can't tell them what to do then please just don't talk to them. My concern is the family of this Kemo guy,his children, his wife this video is gonna be available for the rest of time this people don't know the reality of social media so as Gambians that are lucky to learn and understand i think we should save them from it. Once again thank you very much, am sorry if I might have said anything wrong am just human. enjoy your stay in The Gambia.
