The food you cooked looks really yummy! The hardest things about being in lockdown/quarantine is letting go. I found that the people in charge of the situation either had no information or when I did get information, the next person would say something different. Hopefully you will be free soon 🤞🤞

Stay strong 💪 I am on my final stretch of the China lockdown …From Hong Kong, I crossed the border to Zuhai for a mandatory 2 weeks quarantine…giving the limited flight options, I took a flight to Chongqing in the hopes to connect to Changde in Hunan but faced problems with my Hunan health code so sat out a week of quarantine there…currently now in Changde - Hunan and in a hotel as part as my last week of home quarantine 🤣🤣🤣

Thank you Evelyn for sharing your experiences in lockdown. I’m one of the few Americans living in the states who feels impressed by the Chinese government fight to protect their citizens in this deadly pandemic. Our govt has essentially thrown up its hands and surrendered to covid, which explains the 1,000,000 and counting deaths due to covid, not to mention tens of millions who have suffered and/or continue to suffer with long-term effects we all still trying to understand. If China surrenders to covid, I cant imagine the pain in suffering that would occur to a population nearly 4x that of the U.S. So learn from other countries miseries, look at the long-term bright side, and keep on staying strong! More than you think, people around the world are impressed and proud of you. Peace.

Hii! I understand what you feel! Hope you can get through your lockdown! I was in lockdown inside my campus for 7 months! I’m serious! Students couldn’t go outside in October and November, then we could go outside for one month, after that from January to the end of May we were locked… Recently, Beijing allowed students to go home, I packed all my things and left until the next semester… Students suffer the most in Beijing:(

Yeah, lockdown can be rough... did go in with mental health issues, came out as an emotional wreck. I recognize that managing corona is complex, but by shortsightedly just looking at corona and ignoring the collateral effects of the measures many policies do more damage than good. Stay strong, it will pass....

I am really sorry you are stuck in this lockdown, I have heaps of friends and family in Beijing and they are even scare of sharing with me how their life is through WeChat. Beijing is a my all time favorite city, I was seriously thinking about moving back to China for a while. But with the intense political climate at the moment, it doesn’t look possible.
