Sandra Quick I think it’s brilliant for a child to be bilingual. I tried to speak Irish to my children but my husband doesn’t speak it very well and when I spoke Irish to them they would say we’re not in school now . So I think because Irish is no longer widely spoken they see it as a school subject only .
