Yea! With Pizza, basically all of the ingredients would or at least could have been available in the right timeframe (Like, Pizza literally just needs Bread Dough, Tomato Paste Based Sauce, and some form of Cheese) So nothing's stopping you from saying that some high-class chef put the things together and created it. Or with Burgers, the idea of grinding up left over meat and shaping it into some convenient form is a pretty simple and pretty old concept (Though I'm not doing THAT much research into it at the moment). So the idea of someone throwing that onto a piece of bread for a convenient and clean method of eating red meat makes sense to exist in a world of adventurers.@@trappyboi8678

I did a thing is my campaign that mixed both! I had this crazy ecstatic merchant that *seems* to have lost his mind, crazy and frantic talk and all. He sold a bunch of what looks like junks, and for really cheap prices. For example, a broken sword and a rock with a smiley face roughly carved in it. They costed 1 gold and 7 silver respectively. I mentioned these two because my players bought them. As soon as they were leaving, the merchant packed up and said he's going elsewhere to see the world and sell his stuff, but the players would not see him ever again. So they had a sword that's broken a quarter the length from the hilt, and a smiley rock. Seems silly. Until... In one encounter, they were up against several Blackguards (story-related stuff), and the Ranger had ran out of arrows to shoot. With an enemy coming way to close for comfort, he was desperate and only had the smiley rock left. So he threw it right at the enemy. And as he threw it, in the air, the surrounding rocks rip from the cave walls and gathered around the rock, and it landed on it's feet. The rock, was a Golem Core (homebrew item I made just for this). Specifically, it was the head of the golem, so it had a smiley face. Basically, it pulled in the surrounding elements and turn into a golem, whether it's rocks, dirt, trees, water, it'll work. It can also mix and match! Pretty OP so I gave it only 5 uses and then the magic will dissipate. But even then, they'll still have a smiley rock at least. And the sword, unfortunately a little less cool, was also a magic item. When they visited an artificer wizard couple, they asked them to inspect the sword, out of pure curiosity. The wizard inspected it, and she jumped back in shock and amazement. The sword was HEAVILY enchanted with holy magic with a MASSIVE buff against undead and demons. It is stupid strong against them, like I'm talking 2d20 damage strong, and a crit is double that, so 4d20 damage. I determined to make these items extremely overpowered. But still, it's a sword that's broken almost a quarter of the blade from the hilt. That's really short and a dangerously tight range to fight with. At one point, they were overwhelmed by a horde of undead thanks to a necromancer, and the Barbarian's backpack started glowing. And when he reached in and pulled it out, it was the sword, the blade dimly glowing. Now free from the confinement of the backpack, the blade shoots out like a lightsaber, like the length of a Greatsword. A blade with a ten foot range, made of pure light and holy magic, only activating when there is undead and demons nearby. And knowing what this sword is strong against, all I'll say is, the Barbarian RAGED. This campaign is a personal favourite of mine, I think I made a fantastic story and good NPCs. The players had a lot of fun so far and I think I handled everything the best I have yet. Also those magic items were really fun and the players absolutely loved them. I had more that they didn't buy, but this comment is already stupidly long. Sorry for the rant, I'm just proud of these items and my players' reactions. Cheers.

… how does Laira only have a +2 to Wisdom? She’s a Druid. Either Red put her highest stat in something else (fair, Martial druids are fun although Dreams is a weird circle choice for that), or Red rolled *really* bad for stats (which… yikes). … actually hold on wasn’t Laira’s spell save 14 or something? Edit: Nope looked back, the +2 Wisdom checks out with a spell save of 12. Damn. Also she never used a weapon during the fight, which means spells were her primary choice, so… oh dear

@@NeO_SaNdMaN4040 Unfortunately, I’m 90% sure I’m wrong, because I looked back at the session 1 fight and Laira used Cantrips to fight despite being in Melee. She never once tried to draw a weapon (although she does have that bow, now that I recall, so I could be wrong). What feels most likely to me is that Red rolled bad. As a Druid she has ways to mitigate that weakness but still, feels bad man.

'Only' +2? If they were using default point buy, that would be the highest she could possibly have. She probably doesn't have a racial bonus to wisdom (depends on house rules and which printing they're using, but swiftstride shifters typically don't), and they're all only level 3, so that means no ASIs yet. Speaking from experience, a 14 in your main stat is perfectly serviceable at low levels. It certainly isn't crippling. I don't know what character creation rules they were using, but I'm honestly more worried about Laira's +0 dex mod than her wisdom. I'm aware that wildshape is a thing that exists, but you can't cast in animal form until very late in the game and combat wildshape for non-moon druids tails off very quickly anyway.

I'm pretty sure Red used MPMM Shifter and choose other stats to raise because ERLW swiftstride shifter gives +2 dex as racial stat, which makes it near impossible to get +0 dex mod unless she actually chose her dex as the dump stat.

And more importantly you decide when to use it so if situation is dire and you know that none will spare you if y'all fall => it's losing nothing but the profit if success is immeasurable
