Being a lifty was the best job I ever had. I’m definitely going to go back one day.

I've often contemplated pursuing such a job for maybe just one or two ski seasons once I'm older, but I never quite knew what it would have for me. This is exactly what I needed, and the comments are the extra motivation. I don't know what to say, but thank you? I have no clue what the future has in store for me, but this is a much more appealing option to me now.

Hello! Awesome video and amazing experiencie, I am a little curious to look for a job as a lifty. Even though I don't have strong experiencies skiing I was told that I can have an interview and maybe be able to get a job. Wold you recomend this job for a rookie? If you do what recomendations can you give me? I have worked in so many areas in the tourism industry, lately at cruises, I love to keep learning new things... Thanks for showing. Subscribed!

Nice edited video blog. I just applied work for ski season in NZ about 8 jobs, got rejected from lifty, got offered a barista job, and I think I got a few bartender job offers for ski season coming in now. I actually worked lifty before but for me was a bit boring you make it look more fun.

hey uh can being a ski operator be a part time job like only for winter or u have to only work there
@nickmaclachlan51782 жыл бұрын
Depends on the resort. Some are bike parks in the summer so still need to operate the lifts. Most guys just do it to be close to the mountain so they can ski/board in their time off. There will be a core of maintenance and management who have permanent positions, but most operators are younger more transient people. It aint exactly a career with prospects of massive promotions and I don't expect it pays fantastically, but like I said, the snow draws them in......
