honestly its pretty cool to see someone learning sign language, I'm someone who's used it throughout my life and I've never really seen anyone learning it or generally doing it outside of people that I know like wow you work so hard learning that along with everything else

Learning sign language is on my long term to-do list and tbh it should be compulsory at schools because deaf people need to communicate and be communicated with just as much as the rest of us and I don't understand the logic behind it not being taught anywhere.

i did bsl for about 3 years after picking it up for my DofE skill segment. Possibly one of the best things I've ever done, really should be taught in schools as another alternative to a language, not everyone will travel to other countries and need to speak the langue, but anyone can go deaf or need to communicate with someone through bsl

@@pip6293 I really don't know, maybe I'll take a gap year to ponder on the decision a little longer and I'll apply again to Durham if that's what I decide to do during that time. But I still have to think about it before I make any rush choices, to be fair I really like Durham so idk if declining the offer is the way to go, however it's a really expensive university and that's throwing me off 😅😭
