Not an educational or instructional video, just a day in the life of a lucky woman living in Mexico. I'm living near Patzcuaro, Michoacan in a little casita by the lake.
Autumn in the mountains of Mexico is a fascinating tapestry of incredible life. The summer rains breathe vitality into the landscape, transforming the earth into a lush canvas of greens, golds, and deep purples. Wildflowers in bloom, painting the sides of roads with brilliant splashes of color, while the scent of damp earth mingles with the sweet aroma of blooming sage.
As the sun arcs lower in the sky, its golden rays filter through the mist that often blankets the peaks, creating a dreamy glow. Vibrant butterflies flit among the flowers, and the chatter of birds fills the air, adding to the song of life that thrives in this season.
Autumn in the mountains of Mexico is not just a transition; it’s a celebration of life and renewal, and an invitation to be present in every moment.

I love your posts, but this one almost brought tears to my eyes. I lived on the lake (Huecorio) in the 90s for about 18 months, some of the best months of my life. I haven't been back since 2017, but am hoping to get back next year, either for a month or forever. It depends on Henry and Hobbs who at 14 are too old to travel from New Zealand. I have researched so many places I might settle, thinking going back to Patzcuaro might be a disappointment. Now, watching your posts, and a few others, I cant imagine anywhere else I would rather be. Thank you so much for sharing. Know that they bring absolute joy to this aging heart.

Thank you so much. I hope you make the best decision for you and Henry and Hobbs. Traveling can be rough on dogs. My two suffered the first week when we were in the car so much. Best of luck to you and thanks for such a sweet comment!

It is very beautiful there! I spent a summer in Morelia studying and it was lovely too, but a little cool for me. We took a day trip to Pátzcuaro but it has changed a great deal since then. I live in Cuernavaca, which is south of Mexico City. I love it and have been here since 2014. This July 4 was the ten year anniversary! 😊. I love the calmness of your videos and your dogs are beautiful.

Jorge and I enjoyed the images you shared with us, Mora. Your video made us smile. "Energy flows where intention goes." Your intention -- for the time being -- is to live in this beautiful environment and take in all the wonders Nature has to offer. La vida es buena. Greetings from Querétaro where we and Buddy (our handsome, happy Golden Retriever) are coming up on three years since we moved here from Dallas. ¡Un abrazo! Joseph ("Pepe") Quillian

It talks to me too :) Thanks for watching. The T. vest has been delayed. I tried to put my t shirt on her but she didn't like that. There have been less thunder storms in the last week so maybe the rainy season is slowly coming to an end. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for sharing your amazing journey. I am gearing myself up to do something similar as you. I am of Mexican descent, American born, bilingual and have always felt at home when visiting Mx. I want to find the perfect location to live But first visit visiting/ spending time in various places. My only drawback is the driving. I wouldn’t want to do my own driving. Do you think it is possible to explore Mexico on my own without driving myself around? Sending Many blessing!

Wow! Beautiful! Patzcuaro is on our list of places to visit on our discovery trip. Looking forward to the discovery of the beauty you have found. I have a couple of questions. Did you have a hard time finding parking? We are thinking about bringing a car. We are just wondering about car ownership in Mexico. Things like maintenance (oil changes, etc) and repairs.
@MoraMargaret
@MoraMargaret 8 сағат бұрын
In centro Patzcuaro I found a cheap and easy place I park, in a lot, because I don't see any readily available street parking when I'm there. I keep meaning to ask a local about any good spots to look. If I was without the dogs I would really consider moving into a Centro somewhere and giving up the car. There is great bus service here. But with the dogs I need the car to transport them with me. There are plenty of recommendations in local groups for mechanics and oil changers. If I had to do it over again I might think twice about bringing a Lexus. It's not a very familiar brand here.

@@MoraMargaret That makes sense. It's a Toyota RAV4 equivalent right? So, they should be able to work on it. I haven't joined any of the local groups yet. Will look into those when we're ready to go. Thanks again!
