i love your videos....but sometimes, like in this video, the music doesn't seem to go well with the theme. just my opinion....

nicely done. Question: were there a lot of fireworks around Dia de los Muertos? I wanted to come to Mexico with my dog, but he's very afraid of loud noises.

I really enjoyed watching your video! I have traveled throughout Central America and Mexico since my first trip to Guatemala in 1990. I am always cautious when I travel, but I have seldom had even the slightest bit of trouble or concern. My most recent trip was to Guadalajara and it was lovely. I’ve been fortunate to make friends wherever I have gone and they are some of the nicest people that I know. It is so liberating to travel to be away from the rat race. The place you were staying look really nice, how did you find them? I’ve subscribed to your channel and I will be watching more of your videos. I’m so glad that you are experiencing the wonderful wonders of Mexico and the wonderful people there.

The cobblestone streets look like they could seriously damage tires. Have your car's tires withstood the rough roads OK?

I went to SMA first upon arriving in Mexico and could see the appeal but didn't really feel at home there. Your video helps me see more of the why.

Many expats who feel entitled will dull the vibes. Also, though, you are likely going to see a lot of pollution in most parts.

I , as a Mexican who loves her country, thank you very much for your candor. I hope it discourages many potential future expats (why are they not called “immigrants”, BTW?) to come and live here, making it even more unaffordable.

I live in San Miguel. It’s a beautiful city unlike any place I’ve ever lived. Yes, the rental costs have increased significantly, even Airbnbs were higher than expected when I first landed here. I’m not sure how you define rich, but gentrification happens in the States as much as anywhere else. Many minorities in the States and all over world knows the audacity and entitled attitudes of gentrification. I’m my opinion, it doesn’t matter you go, the attitudes will follow. My philosophy is Explore the world, Live life, Do no harm, take only what you need.

It’s really sad that jobs in the US have become so miserable. I attribute that to corporate and executive greed. Everyone is breaking their backs to keep the rich wealthy. I loved my job in the eighties and nineties. Stayed with a company for 34 years and got my degree only to be rewarded with a layoff at 53. Immediately got a new job, but starting over is very difficult.

People are more compassionate in Mexico. They still have the good neighbor and good citizen attitude that hasn’t been in the U.S. for probably 50 years. The other thing that impresses me is that they show politeness and respect to older people. That is something that hasn’t been prevalent in the U.S. for at least 20 years. I hope that the Mexican people keep their beautiful nature, because I’m 63, and I’m planning stay here for the rest of my life. ❤

I want to stop working like crazy haha I hope I can move there with my partner in the near future maybe I will the lottery

The irony… you are welcome here and enjoy while we suffered so much just to be accepted there. Your here to contribute nothing while we are a huge working force needed but racially reputed. And don’t bother response, your kind is racist, egocentric, individualistic and violent. If you try to make the point you are different BINGO!!! We tried that for decades, you are just more comfortable feeling superior , that’s your kind.

Great video! I think Mexico gets a bad rap from some of the "northern nations", which being from one of those countries, I'm utterly ashamed of. They are kind and patient, despite tolerating the attitude from surrounding nations. *Love* to Mexico and their people for staying grounded in their lives and living and still being welcoming to expats seeking a more peaceful way of life. Slow and patient is not "third world", it is honorable.

I am 67 years old. I do not speak Spanish. But I could afford to live on my Social Security and my small savings in Mexico and the people are so wonderful. It seems like maybe you could live in that town the winter in the mountains in the summer to get, a little bit better weather? I do not know how to find out what to do. I am afraid to stay in the United States now. Very bad things are going to happen here very soon. I don't know if anyone reads these. I don't know I don't know what to do.
