Hey bud! Please do not let people guilt trip you to make everything accessible. People expect everything for free, and 99% of your content is free! No one should be entitled to everything when you have a lovely family to provide for! I think a lot of viewers forget that vloggers have bills to pay! Keep doing what you are doing! FYI I love these behind the scenes videos!

I agree! You put in so much time creating your content. Nobody should be expecting it all for free. As a member I’d like to see content that’s exclusive and not just the videos with the lowest expected views.

Not everyone can afford to pay though. If you can that’s great but I can’t. People also forget the ads make them money too. Lots of people skip them but they lose money if you do

Traver, 70 ideas is like over a years worth! There is only 52 weeks in a year. You do such a great job, that your thoughts, research, and lack of sleep, is certainly seen in your work. You are so awesome.

I do 3 videos a week, so I’d need 150 video ideas for a year. Though I do a lot of monthly content that are part of my regular rotation that’s not in the idea file.

I was so excited for this video. I always check and see what you uploaded. I always get home around 3. So it's perfect timing for my long days at work. It's so interesting how you upload. Lots of thought process and much work goes into it. And you're fantastic at it. I'm so proud that I followed when you were videoing the zoos. That's how it all started. Thanks to you and your lovely family we know where to eat, how to rope drop, what rides to ride, when to wait in line and when not to. What’s worth checking out and what to pass on. This video is just as great as your others. Keep up the great work. It is appreciated.

@SoCalDisneyDad
@SoCalDisneyDad 9 күн бұрын
@@kristenhoskin5822 I could tweak it if I wanted. But I usually let KZbin do all that automatically. I never mess with the ad settings. I know some of the really big KZbinrs (like 20 million subscribers) have them strategically placed like you’re watching television and it’s at the perfect cliffhanger that you have to stick around for. But I’ve never really looked at it aside from occasionally removing some of the ad slots when KZbin messes up and drops an ad like every 2 minutes. I only ever find out about it though when someone complains.

But for the last six months, I found myself watching only your videos because they were the best and easiest to follow. Thanks to you, my first trip to Disneyland was a literal dream come true-even though it was 103°F on our last day! I watched all the way through (you asked). I had saved it to watch later when it first popped up because I was interested in how hard/ much work this was to do because you make it look so fun! I watched you, Provost & 1 other before getting 1 solo day in DL/DCA Aug 9. I keep watching you (not the others) because you are so enjoyable to listen to. And knowing how much work this is (and not rides all day everyday) tells me... don't do this myself, just keep watching you! Thank you for your helping people have great Disney days!

I found your channel back in May when I had to suddenly plan a Disneyland/DCA/Universal trip with 2 weeks notice - I had never been to any Disney park before and knew nothing!😱😱😱 Your videos made it so the trip went very smoothly and was just magical! But now that we’re back home, I find that my favorite videos are the long style vlogs you do. I suspect this is the case for many people - they find your videos when planning a trip but continue to watch for the other style of videos. So at any given point I think you have two styles of viewer - the more transient trip planners who want the most up to date info about the park (understandably) and the more permanent viewers who are watching because of you and Amy specifically. I think the longer style, informal videos (that may not do as well with the transient viewers) going to the member channel for the longer term viewers makes perfect sense. Looking forward to seeing them in the future!

I can’t believe this is your full time job and that you live in SD. you are not my favorite Disneyland vlogger, everyone does food,merch, and you aren’t aware of certain things or you don’t do certain research, or they have better tips( it’s not your fault, you live far) etc but you have some unique videos like this one, great idea getting used feedback, the restrooms idea is a great idea! I do have to say this is about the level of work I expected - it’s a million times better than an office job.
@SoCalDisneyDad
@SoCalDisneyDad 9 күн бұрын
A lot of the “lack of research” isn’t so much a lack of research, but more that information changes so quickly at Disneyland. I’ll do research for hours and two days later it’s obsolete. When I published a video saying that I thought Winnie the Pooh wouldn’t open until November, when I filmed it we had absolutely no indication that it would. Then a day after I publish the video, Disney surprise removes it from the calendar. This makes me look foolish, but there is absolutely nothing I can do about that if Disney won’t properly reflect the refurb calendar in advance. Other times, I purposefully don’t research, because my perspective on videos is what the average guest might encounter. I want to fumble through things that don’t make sense or aren’t clear. Plus, I like to be surprised, and don’t want everything spoiled for me before I enter something new. Does that mean I’m not aware of some show or some character? Yes. So when I see those things I don’t know what they’re called. Does that make me ignorant? Perhaps, but my reactions are genuine. “Oh look, some character person. I don’t know who that is.” Rather than acting like some expert I’m not. Oftentimes I’ll look it up afterwards and then come on camera with an “oh that’s who that was!” I’m sorry if you feel I’m not as polished as some people. But I keep things real, and don’t put on a show for the camera as someone I’m not. I’m glad you enjoy some of my content, though.

As you document the restrooms throughout the park, take note of the restoom signs as well 🚻. Every land, restaurant, hotel, all have different themes and looks to match that area. Even the changing tables...lol.I've been posting pics of the male restroom signs on my personal Facebook for the past year or so. There's a lot of restroom facilities on property. Silly as it sounds, the least visited restrooms are in the Disneyland Hotel. They're located in the basement level, have awesome retro classic Disney cartoon movie poster wallpaper. You definitely need to document the Tomorrowland restrooms to the left of the DVC lounge entrance tucked away in the corner behind the gift kiosk. My next endeavor of photographing will be all the different mailboxes in the parks. And yes, I occasionally mail off postcards to friends and family while there. Anyone reading this, don't forget to bring stamps. Disney doesn't sell them. 😂

I don't like to film other people either. I try really hard to get clear shots. And sometimes I will put stickers over faces. I especially try not to film kids. I love to watch your videos, your personality is great. And your family is adorable. Keep posting, I'll keep watching.

Bravo!!! Don’t usually comment as I just watch on tv app, but had to give kudos for this video. People think getting to be a vlogger /crearive is so easy… but when I explain how just making thumbnails is a process let alone the planning or metrics that go into a video, or where this footage goes editing videos.. etc. so this was perfect to send to them as an explanation. 😅 Also had an idea for the other channel or fb page “Disney Mom” answering questions about general stuff but more on having kids going to theme parks different ages etc… hotels for kids how to save.. an extension of what u are already doing but more extensive. Thanks for the content always a good watch.

@@beerToe22 That’s a great twist for a FB group theme. Our channel is all about family planning, as one of the few vloggers with children (or at least that vlog about going with kids) we often reach a different demographic than others. I know folks like Fresh Baked and Park Pass have kids, but they often aren’t a part of their videos. And their content isn’t necessarily about families. That’s always made us unique. So it makes sense to bring that twist into the FB group. I’ll just have to brainstorm a good group name to incorporate all this without being too wordy.
