The Bronx and Hip Hop music: why doesn't the guy make contact with the mayor and get a few other people including community leaders with him to request for a plaque or a sculpture of some sort? It would be so easy to do.

I live close, in the Bronx. Little Italy in Manhattan is Disneyworld! I get the breadsticks and pepper toast at Addeos. That pan de casa is served up at the restaurants with butter or olive oil and herbs. Super fresh. My restaurant of choice? Emilia's. Bakery: madonias for their fill and go canollis for a couple bucks. The NYC Market...last of 2 remaining designated markets. See the production of cigars at the front of the market for Chaz Palmientieri"s cigar brand. Get his branded autographed box of cigars for an afficionado. Can't miss Teitel Brothers for their truffle cheese, fresh deli, baby mozz and olives. Oldest grocery store in NYC with a Holocaust connection. Quite a family story at Teitel Brothers. Many people combine a trip to the New York Botanical Garden with Arthur Ave. Come back! You barely scratched the surface!

Dominican food and Puerto Rican food may be similar but Pastelillos... Also called empanadadillas are Puerto Rican food not Dominican. Piña colodas- PR Flan- PR Pasteles- PR Coquito- PR Mofongo- PR Oftentimes these are things that other cultures might say that they invented because they grew up with it but it's not. But growing up in a melting pot of many different cultures it's kinda hard to tell unless you learn the history of the food. That being said Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans do have some similar food and it's all good. A good example of similarities would be Mofongo and Mangu. Dominican Mangu is similar to Puerto Rican Mofongo but it's sweeter, softer, and a bit wetter. Both are good depending on your preference.

Loving the videos!! Thanks so much for posting. I have a question- anyone who knows can answer: How does order pickup work if you do a grubhub/call-in order? Do you actually just go to the front of the line? In the midwest there's often plenty of space and a separate section/register area to line up/interact with a server if necessary. So many places in NYC look so small that it seems like it would feel weird/too close for comfort to cut the line. Any tips/etiquette suggestions?
@HereBeBarr Жыл бұрын
Go to the front of the line but to the side, make eye contact with the guy at the counter. Say hey, here for pick-up. Nobody in line will care, I do this frequently.

Coming from someone who grew up in NYC from Manhattan to the bronx it's still not safe. It's also extremely dirty and super expensive but the food is delish. I didn't have a childhood growing up because I was stuck in a tiny expensive apartment for atleast 10 years. The dude from the bronx said watch out for dog poop and you see all the trash on the ground but the bronx isn't dirty? 🤦
@shawnhall979211 ай бұрын
Bruh that's not the ENTIRE borough like you people act like all of the bronx is dirty which it isn't Manhattan is disgusting as hell depending on what neighborhood you're in . The bronx is 42 sq miles long that borough is not dirty like you make it out to . Also the bronx isn't even that bad that narrative has been played out for decades Brooklyn Queens and Manhattan all suffer from crime but of course the bronx is the only borough that has crime 😂
