You should start doing "teacher favorites" videos where you talk about your most useful tools or supplies for being a teacher! Also a tutorial on how you use powerpoint because as an education student I'm having to make projects and presentations All. The. Time. (as you've probably experienced), so I'd love to see how powerpoint can be used!

Ive been binging your series, and it really looks like you're thriving your first year. Most first-year teachers all look like they struggle so much their first year. LOVE seeing you so confident and excited to be teaching. This is how I want my first year to go, thriving!

+Early EDventures Way to go Beautiful Ms. Newton ! Back when I was an autistic student in special ed classes in school , My Teachers had to learn to do some of what you are doing now for your students the hard way with me when it comes to creating more engaging lessons outside of Duso the Dolphin . I had to learn everything the teacher's way or no way when I was in the classroom and those moments literally made me want to go home . - Dwight

Ive been watching you since 1k subscribers and honestly you had 1k subscribers YESTERDAY IT FEELS LIKE? You’re awesome and unlike any teacher I’ve seen on KZbin. You’re so REAL and live a life outside of teaching which I love. I’m finishing up my second year in my teaching degree and I follow you for advice more than I follow the teachers I’m observing under in real life! I wish you could be my mentor teacher, but sadly I live in Pittsburgh lol. Keep it up, you’re amazing!

so funny you mentioned pocket full of primary I have been binge watching you both simultaneously. But I am currently in school to be a high school teacher but I have been debating elementary and since I know you were sub and have probably experienced a lot of age groups would you honestly recommend the one you chose? thank you!

It totally depends on your personality. I love the older kids, but I have friends that refuse to go above 2nd grade....just depends!

In a career where everyone is always complaining and there is so much work to be done in terms of education, it can be so daunting some days to be going to college for it. as you know, teachers dont do it for the money! they are called to it by the passion in their hearts and its so refreshing to watch you keep a positive attitude! I hope to keep positivity once I become a teacher as well!

I actually purchased the fraction unit as well and I'm doing a lesson on equivalent fractions. I think it's going to well because it's very hands on and God knows i need to get away from the worksheets and the workbook. I also purchased the Geometry, Area and Perimeter Unit and I'm excited about that!!!!

This video was awesome! It’s always great to see how you teach topics. I especially like seeing TpT products since there are so many out there. I’m in the same boat about drinking water. My problem is it needs to be cold. So if you are in the same boat, I suggest buying a stainless steel double Walled “growler”. I have a 64oz one I fill up at home since the school water doesn’t taste very good. I also have a30 oz cup I fill up. Amazon has a ton of options but tend to be more expensive. got mine from Ross for $18 bucks and am in love! I love your videos!

when you buy things on teachers pay teachers, is that out of your own pocket or do you get that reimbursed by the school? im not a teacher, nor do I plan on being one, but for whatever reason, I really enjoy your videos haha :)

Why did you choose to write narratives based on times the kids got hurt? I'll be starting narratives soon, and I'm trying to think of good topics to start the brainstorming process. I just wanted to know if there was something that led you to the "ouch" topic?

It was a unit I bought on TPT. One for many topics to choose from.

For any teachers out there, when you purchase lesson plans do you get reimbursed? Can you write this off on your taxes?
@jessicashipp85426 жыл бұрын
You can write off a certain amount, I think it is up to $200 at least where I am filing. I also use Legislative money, we get a certain amount twice a year, I often use receipts on this. Honestly I spend way more than I get reimbursed but a little back never hurts.
