Honestly I love these day in the live of a dealer tech videos because I started working as a mechanic when I was 18 I spend 5 years at local shops and finally decided to try out a dealer and I got a job at Nissan same pay but all I do is services compared to taking engines and transmission out or rebuilding them . It’s crazy to believe that 5 years of being told that there’s no need to work at a dealer you can learn more at local shops, but now that I work at a dealer I realized all I became was an R&R mechanic especially when I met this kid 3 years younger than me and his knowledge compared to mine basically makes me feel like I only know how to change oil it blows my mind realizing I didn’t completely waste my time because I did learn a lot but I could have leaned at lot more in a shorter amount of time if I started at a dealer, this kid is 2 classes away from becoming a certified Nissan mater tech btw and that’s crazy . But don’t get me wrong some people don’t like it at a dealer they prefer working on all makes and models o have seen a couple cut because of that and that’s okay but if anyone has been told that local shops are better don’t believe it until you have tired both I did until I went to a dealer and trust me I am not going back couple of months in and my first class to becomes certified to be allowed to work on electrical components starts next month and I’m excited they care enough to send me to class so I can progress in this industry and someday get paid more . 99% of local shops will never do that they will want to pay you as little as they can and make you do as much as they can and forget about them paying for a class so you can progress in this industry that’s just my opinion though

23yr tech just found your videos, nice to see a kid enjoying his life. Mostly I cuss & swear all day. Remember never loose living your life for your wife & baby's. No job or car is more important than the time you lose with them . That's why every toolbox comes with a free set of wheels. & never let the boss know how good you are., there's a big price that comes with that.

Man last weekend a homeboy hit me up to put up new Halo LED Headlights on his 05 Chevy truck and the low and high beam up plug and play but it has had Halo Ring and some other 3 LED lights in it so what I did was Ran the Halo Ring to the Low Beam and the 3 small LED ran that shit to the Running Light but the connectors they give me splice the wires didn’t work worth a damn so I cut the original wires and add the new wires with it so I had to solder them bitches together 😂😂 and put Electrical tape around it
