I'm working only at Ford dealership workshops. I had to have my own tools back in England, UK. I spent a lot of money on it. Now, I moved to Norway and company provides me with tools, which is great. But I always wondered how is it to work in the USA at Ford dealership..I see that average salary is like 80k a year for a technician.. In Norway we can only imagine of that kind of money :) In England I was not even close to 50% of it :D

where is the speed sensor located on the 6sp RWD transmission on Ford Transit LWB 2012 T155 2.2L? Van goes into limp mode at 40mph with TCS dash light flashing. Diagnosed as wiring/faulty VSS, because (when goes into limp mode) all 4 wheel speed sensors report speed but VSS reports no data (0 mph).

I have a question i drive a 05 escape xlt and it has a misfire the codes said it was the ignition coils and spark plugs so changed them out all 6 but it still has a misfire with the same codes why would that be if you have an idea? Thanks

The codes don't always tell you the cause of the problem. Those were just the most common causes

i'm a mechanic at Hunter ford dealership in Madoc Ontario, i can tell you right now people are dumb i made $500 last week, put some spark plugs in a vehicle, took half hour, we told the lady that's what her car needed and she believed us , her car didn't even make it home lmao, go buy a new vehicle or fix it yourself .

There is certain jobs that are just awful pay you wish you didn't have to do them. Then there are the jobs that make more money than customer pay usually on a diesel is where you get those.

I've finished my 3rd week at Ford and I honestly like it. Warranty pay isn't that bad at all. Just got to find OP codes that dont overlap and milk them for time. No biggie. Way better than Acura warranty.

Original coil may have shorted out causing the coil driver in the PCM to go bad. Just have to use a noid light to verify that though.

1st go to college For Automotive you don’t necessarily need to but it helps a lot and then Just apply for the job start off at a Oil changer aka Lube Tech
