Hi, thanks for your helpful video. Was wondering, should the first step to join this career be working in audit or accountancy? Thanks.

If you are called by a third party to look over a company's books for fraud, why would the company allow you access to their accounting? If a company thinks a supplier is doing some fraudulent accounting, why would the supplier let you pour over their books?
@UncoverFraud4 жыл бұрын
When called in to perform a forensic investigation, access to information is provided by the company, counsel, the police and so on. Your question suggests that a supplier is the possible cause of fraud. Sometimes counsel must get involved to get to the information. Hopefully you found this helpful. I really appreciate your feedback and support.

The work life balance is hard at times. When clients have a pressing deadline, it is a must to meet or exceed their expectations.

Does auditing and forensic accounting go hand in hand? Are they similar?
@UncoverFraud4 жыл бұрын
They have there similarities in the basic foundation of a financial audit opinion challenge. But there is much more to forensic accounting then just audit. There is murder, corruption and intentional error just to name a few. Audit is a fantastic foundation for understanding accounting.
