Even when you watch these kind of videos, try not to get obsessed with the idea of 'working at Google'. Rather try to get obsessed with the area of your interest which is what it really takes to reach here.

Data scientist analyze data and reports from different case scenarios, one typical example is when a client is facing failures in his business so he/she is wondering what are the underlying causes, by seeking help through a data scientist, the data scientist will gather data sets, then analyze it through graphs with apps such as excel, power bi and tablue to generate reports on why the business is failing as well as keys to find possible solutions on how to save the business. A data scientist also codes with programming language, commonly python and SQL . so it's a mixture of Mathematics + Coding + Analysis.

well every second video of the Software engineer and Data Scientist on youtube is all about eating, hanging out and care-free type of life. I have no idea that how they do that. I am a Software Engineer and my job includes setting up Data pipelines and full-stack (both backend and front end). My routine is more than 10 hours a day easily. Most of the time it is hard-core programming, learning continuously, Stack Overflow on one screen, frustration with bad code of my colleagues and then Bug fixing, Imposter syndrome, meeting deadlines and so much more. In my view these videos are not portraying the real picture at all.
