Absolutely great job!! I have a question if you don’t mind me asking.. if you run out of ingredients, let’s say for example the main ingredients, what can you do in this case? You ask someone to bring them to you? Or something else Thanks in advance
@Fifthgenerationfamily2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the event, I tend to over prepare for every event, because I have the storage space available, but every once in a while we get unexpectedly busy. If that happens and we run out early, I’ll send someone to get more from our store. But if we run out close to the end, we consider it a win, sell what we have left and call it a day! Something I started doing recently is bring enough to make my $$ goal, and then I’m happy when we sell out.

are the permits expensive? What are the costs about to get started with the correct food permits? thanks.
@Fifthgenerationfamily2 жыл бұрын
It depends on a lot. Where you are, what kind of facility you have. Your county health department should have a “fee schedule” where you can find out exactly the permit cost. Many places waive fees entirely for veterans.

Hi Titus! It really depends on your location. If you choose to go the daily lunch at determined locations route, you can certainly build to that amount. Consistency is key for that path. Consistent locations and times, allowing for regulars, and building a customer base. It’s rare to get lucky and hit those numbers right away. We are more in the Special events category, and over the years I’ve come to know which events will bring me that kind of volume and more, and which ones don’t. The best advice I can give, is to just get started, and decide what you like best, and what pays you best, but it will take time. Hope that helps!

So is that bigger trailer/camper considered your commissary💁🏽♀️? If not then I don't get the whole commissary point 🤭
@Fifthgenerationfamily2 жыл бұрын
I almost need to make a video to express my thoughts on this… 😂 Our commissary is actually a local restaurant, I did a video about it awhile back, but the point is to have a place to service your food facility. Clean, refill, hold cold food, prep food etc… The Health Department doesn’t trust operators to keep their homes clean enough, and/or they can’t inspect everyone’s home. The answer really depends on who you ask. Since you asked me…. I may just make a whole video on it… I’ll try it to get fired up. ❤️🔥
@dollpins15742 жыл бұрын
@@Fifthgenerationfamily Omg girl thank you for that prompt response! You are so awesome! I did start watching that video...the one where you were driving to your local commissary, and my 6 year old decided he wants to change it and watch Ninja Turtles. I have been seriously considering becoming a vendor here in Las Vegas and start out with humble beginings like you did with a cart...I started to watch your videos in backwards order. So I want to start from the beginning. Between you and Ben the Hot Dog guy my mind has been blown away with all the work there is to do 😳 but I'm not scared to do hard work always done it. LOVE the work that you are doing and as a female entrepreneur an inspiration to the rest of us gals! Yes share a video on your thoughts about a commissary because up until that point, I was all in, like deal me in Vegas Style, but to have a commissary just take my money every month?! Girl I just don't know now...
@Fifthgenerationfamily2 жыл бұрын
@@dollpins1574 Ninja Turtles take priority for sure!!! 😍 It’s a lot more than I thought I was going to have to do, but there are definitely more ways to get it done than the Health department would like to tell you about. Where can I get a trailer like yours im in southern California?
@Fifthgenerationfamily3 жыл бұрын
I know there are a couple of great builders down there… My trailer was designed Buy a builder here, from the ground up as opposed to an airstream conversion. I would think in SoCal your best bet is to try for an airstream conversion. But I know that there are very few people with the knowledge and skills to do that. You may have to look in another state. I know P & S trailer service does that.
