I don’t see people on wait lists for vintage Rolex. Especially this new generation of buyers. They don’t want or desire the older dated models. They want the latest and greatest. Why don’t you do a video Paul proving my point. Dated vs new Rolex. Find some street people and ask them to compare the old and new and to choose the watch they prefer. The word “dated” will fly out of their mouths the minute the novice compares the watches without you having ever uttered the word. Especially women will say, “it’s nice but X looks dated next to Y or Z”. I understand Spencer’s passion for the brand but to say a Rolex is never “dated” just isn’t so. That’s all. Cheers!

My philosophy when I bought my Rolex SS/18kt Datejust in 1989 was that I'm not rich enough to spend all that money just to leave it in the box or wear it only on Sundays. All this time later and I'm still wearing it every day, no matter what I'm doing. It's been through hell but two services later it still keeps great time and looks great too. IMO, if you're not going to wear a watch, don't buy it.
