The nutritionist in me just has to let you know that "gluten free" isn't healthier, even though it's the trendy thing to do nowadays. Gluten isn't bad for you and only causes problems if you have a condition where your body reacts unnaturally to it [like how peanuts wouldn't be good for someone with a peanut allergy]. Obviously you can still eat GF cereal etc. if you like, just thought you should know that if you WERE trying to choose the healthier option GF doesn't make it healthier and a lot of times is just the opposite. 🙂

That is true, but in the U.S. food processing plants put in way more gluten than they do in other countries, so it can make people who don't have gluten sensitivities feel bloated or have a stomach ache. You're right in that it isn't usually less calories or fat though, sometimes it's more.

I feel you on school being a challenge! I went back last spring semester full-time after a decade of being out of school. That first semester back was so rough. Now that I'm in my 4th semester back, it's much better!

Planning on going back for Prerequisites classes that I need (I need Chem, Biochem and Genetics) for my MS in Genetics Counseling. I wish I knew what I wanted when I was in college but I had no idea what Genetics Counseling even was told way out of school when I worked with one for my genetics diagnosis.

I went to college in the Netherlands, rule number one is that you dont go to school by car. I wouldnt have had a clue where to park... public transport is free for students, or if you live close enough you bike or walk

I use to have to wait at the end of the parking lot for a car to leave 30-45 mins before class. The lot was about 10-15 min walk to class (don't miss those days). I was a cheerleader in college and it was a packed day, I always said I was tired a lot too lol. I'll be cheering you guys on ninja!

Most of us didn’t have a car in college. It was expensive and a pain. Walk, bike, or bus was cheaper and easier until grad school with projects off campus.

The parking at my university in Michigan is actually pretty great and close since it's a smaller university. I'm so excited to be graduating in 2 weeks and getting married in July!

I love Captain Crunch Peanut butter crunch. Also Apples and Cinnamon Oatmeal. I went to the U of MN , Twin Cities. 2004. parking was difficult. I just parked on the campus that I had my last class. U of MN had a shuttle bus. I bought a pass for. The University of Minnesota campus is huge. You have the West Bank, East bank and St Paul campus. It's was crazy. But once I figured out a system it became easier. Stick with it when it comes to School. It's worth it. I graduated with a BA in Communition Studies. Awesome Job to you both with everything. College was tough. Looking back, I'm still not very sure how I did it, haha. I was a nursing major in a 4-year BSN program, switched majors after three years, crammed everything I needed for a psych major into one year and still somehow managed to graduate "on time."

Mykayla I loved your video! Melo is stinking adorable and I LOVE cats (have 3 of my own too). I find them to be so fascinating. I can relate to you on the school thing. I'm 34, and I went to a community college right out of high school. Wasn't doing well or as well as I would have liked. Decided to take some time off (11 yrs later) and pushed myself to go back since I only had 2-3 classes left. I didn't know I was that close until I talked to an advisor. Just got a general associates degree, and after I got that, I was going to transfer to Iowa State. I realized I didn't want to do that after all, so I'm planning on getting another associate in Business Administration/ Entrepreneurship. 🙂

You need to start planning your meals soon enough do curbside pickup instead of running to the store before dinner most nights. We curbside pickup groceries on Sunday and it holds off all week.

The University of North Florida parking lot is a stalker's paradise!. Meaning, a car would drive behind you the whole way as you are walking to your car ;just to wait for you to leave so they can take your spot. Some cars would fight over your spot and cuss you out if you don't leave fast enough. I ended up parking near the other side of campus, where it was usually less crowded and take the shuttle bus into campus. Also, there isn't enough parking and the price of parking is outrageous! The parking was the main thing I disliked about my campus. I loved my school, but they had issues. But I'm wondering if it's like this in all campuses? High Price parking and little space to park! Welcome back McKayla and you got this!

I went to school at OU and had a parking pass at a church near campus. It was a 10 minute walk to most of my classes. I thought that was pretty good 😂. Proud of u for finishing school! It’s not easy

I'm four minutes into your video and have been laughing so hard. k I look back at my time in college and wonder how I did it. After my first year (I was 22), I got married, worked full-time, and took what was considered a full load of 12 quarter hours. If I took 12 hours, I maintained As; if I took 16 hours, one class suffered. I used to think my cat was the only one who drank from the faucet; I have since learned differently.

Hi, I want to throw a thing out about that pain. Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Gymnasts are often born with it, which can assist with base flexibility. Instability can be countered with the heavy training you do for Elite. But once you stop doing that training, hypermobile joints can suddenly become an issue all at once.

There are support groups of EDS Athletes, Dancers, and Gymnasts and I've read their experiences of what happens when hard training ends. I've read hundreds of papers, studies, and reports on EDS, represent several as a patient advocate, and live with it every day. The things that cued me to saying soemthing this time were the hopping over the laundry messing her up so badly, and talking about how everything hurts so much more since no longer training for Elite.
