I'm betting that the expensive parts of that were not the parts he could have gotten at the markets. So going to both places to save a few TBT on the mangos, peppers and onions? I'm with Jon. The time saved would be worth it.

Yeah, if I'm making Thai food I'll go to the market, but you can't get some of things in the market like cheese, sour cream, tortillas, seasoning mix, good quality bell peppers, this type of avocado etc so it wouldn't have been worth going to the market for only some of the bits :)

@@JonInChiangMai absolutely, someone also mentioned the expensive price tag of Tops which is true but some of the things they have are to die for. For example the seedless limes are soooo good!
