Brave video man, your mannerisms remind me of my friend Russ Cook (the hardest geezer) who went down a similar turbulent path and look where he is now. It's so hard living with a brain that constantly wants to escape. I think a lot of people can relate to the patterns you described here, if just with 'lesser' substances (caffeine, alcohol, kratom, nicotine etc). It's such a slippery slope. Most of us just trying to cope with existing as humans in this strange unnatural world. So glad you're in recovery and found God. He's a big help for me, too, when I lose my way. Would love to see more videos about your recovery and everything you've gained since.

thanks for the comment, it means alot to me that you watched the video in it’s entirety. i’m still the same with caffeine but maybe one day ill knock that on the head too. it is a strange world indeed, younger me didn’t know how to navigate it and turned to drugs and alcohol as a solutions of escaping a world that didn’t work for me. today im able to meet life on life’s terms. Oh yeah me too when i have lost my way getting down on my knees and praying sorts me right out. need to do it as of recently i have definitely been running on my own self will. I will definitely be making more videos if you have any ideas i would love to hear them.

Nothing short of a miracle that you’re still here. It’s the molecule of light within you that the darkness tried to extinguish that got you turned back over to God. I’m so happy you’re still with us and I really appreciate your video.

I barely managed to hold jobs and uni courses down while I was at my worst - I’m amazed you managed to work full time! Ketamine is surprisingly insidious as an addiction - I’ve had issues with benzos, opiates, and probs cannabis in my time, and ketamine was the addiction that most fucked me up and had a psychological hold on me! It was only really 6yrs, with 2yrs of total chaos (and maybe 6 months of absolutely no barriers/daily polysubstance use) for me - well done for coming out of 9yrs of doing that daily! I had a seizure that broke 2-3 of my vertabrae and has caused pain for the last 10yrs with associated opiate addiction even after I got sorted, we’re lucky to be alive though!

Still not sure how it happened but think I did a free fall backwards onto a stone floor and compressed a couple of vertabrae in the process… Happened at a trial shift for a bar job after a week long clonazepam bender… Got that and a few scars from ket related antics as mementos from that time - but at least I’m still breathing! Your vid brought back a lot of memories - but really good to see how recovery’s treated you! Made me glad I managed to make it out too :-)

What duration of time was you doing this for mate? Been struggling with k for about 4 years now, its fucking cruel but just gets crueler
@georgesgeniuschannel
@georgesgeniuschannel 3 ай бұрын
I have been sniffing drugs since about 16 years old but weed etc since 14. You hit the nail on the head right there! K is cruel but it gets crueler never heard something more true. if you think it can’t get worse it sure can. but it’s darkest before the dawn mate. i want to say don’t stop fighting to be sober but for me it really was more like a surrender. I kept fighting and would always loose. when i really stopped it was like putting the sword down and walking away from the fight. you never win with drugs no matter how smart you play. put the sword down, accept defeat and walk away. hope that makes sense - i’m gonna do a video on surrender as it’s easier to explain in person.

Just watching now, definitely everything your saying is exactly the same with me, haven't started the meetings yet as I've always thought I could tackle this on my own locked away and working from home but recently this shit has got me beat mentally and physically, evrrytime I pick up I end up giving it away after a few gs, such a waste of money then run back to it a day or so later
