As a Software Engineering Manager and former Tech Lead, it's always interesting to see a day in the life of a software engineer at a large tech company like Amazon. It's clear from the video that Amazon places a strong emphasis on collaboration, as the software engineer in the video spends a significant amount of time working with their team and seeking feedback from their peers. I also appreciate that the video highlights the use of agile development methodologies and the importance of continuously delivering value to customers. It's clear that the software engineer in the video is deeply engaged in their work and is constantly learning and growing in their role. Overall, it's a great representation of the fast-paced and dynamic work environment at Amazon and the exciting opportunities that software engineers have to make an impact.

I went for a software engineer job at Amazon, passed the interviews. Hold 2 degrees, and 10 years commercial experience and still never got the role. Unless I am missing something I vowed never to work for anyone again as It made me feel undervalued. I feel comp sci and software engineering degrees have been useless to me and should have just become a tradesman of some kind especially now in era of AI. Luckily contracting has been my best solution as there are rarely meetings and work anytime anywhere autonomously. Well done on achieving this role but as one can imagine the whole situation trys to make you feel shit after having putting in so much work over years but I won't let these companies grind me down.

Amazon hires diversity first, not skillset first, unless your on a critical team that actually codes, I'm 100% sure the person in this video is on a non essential team and probably spends 90% of the time in meetings and 10% pasting source code.
