Maybe there's some odd warehouse nearby. You've got the blue tanker sitting, green long nose cammer, and then the yellow one, possibly Central Transport. I'm only guessing, but I've had to deal with the oddly placed warehouse occasionally when I drove trucks. I dealt with one in Philadelphia where I had to drive the wrong way to exit due to height restrictions. The company was at the far end of a 1 way block, just before an 11 foot underpass. There was a side road next to their warehouse however. City cops sat nearby frequently and knew if we were coming from XYZ company, the wrong way thing was overlooked. I would have been in a conventional cab and 53' dry van trailer.
@EllieODaire Жыл бұрын
@@DeltaWhiskeyBravo13579 Judging from the road he was turning out of, he probably just delivered to that paint shop with the green facade. Unfortunately, just having a delivery deep in Brooklyn doesn't give drivers carte blanche to violate the NYC length limits, and especially O/Os should leave NYC loads to companies with legal equipment or who can afford to eat the tickets. NYC functions like a separate state from NY with its own DOT and truck restrictions, and drivers are responsible for making sure their equipment can legally get to their destination before taking a load. Pennsylvania law allows reasonable access to customers from truck routes, NYC law does not.

@@thierryvt Most of the USA allows the two standard North American truck configurations (tractor and 53 foot trailer or tractor and two 28 foot trailers) but certain areas with older roads especially in 200+ year old coastal cities have lower limits, while parts of the American west which are wide open and empty (as well as a few toll roads in the eastern half of the country) allow even longer configurations. NYC has some of the lowest limits, with a full ban on 53 foot trailers except to JFK Airport, I-95, and a designated route to Long Island, with 48 footers only allowed within a mile of the main highways, and a blanket 55 foot combined length limit for the whole rest of the city, though as you can see from this video people often ignore these limits. I just don’t understand some people. I drive a 92 Civic hatch, a car that would get absolutely destroyed if I ever attempted something stupid like some of these drivers pulling out in front of trucks.

New law proposal: it should be legal for truckers to pancake brake checkers so long as they can provide dash cam footage of the incident.

Not really. I think the car was genuinely confused. Just trying to get out of the way. Then the trucker crosses the yellow line and blocks the yellow semi. Wtf let that truck go first. #4 is an Ads hole.

I thought so too UNTIL he did the same thing that he was bitching about and tries to go around a line of cars on a double yellow and there is another truck coming.

Retired truck driver here. The standard semi (5 axles) can weigh up to 80,000 pounds gross weight when loaded (and around 32,000 to 35,000 unloaded). They neither take off like a jackrabbit or stop on a dime. Given that most passenger vehicles run between 3,000 and 5,000 pounds pulling out in front of one and sharply slowing down or stopping is a good way to learn the laws of physics the hard way. You won't enjoy the results.

A business near me has their truckers block 6 lanes of road and destroy the cones that divide the road because there is a center bus lane. The trucks can pull in forward but they prefer to pull in backwards because it is easier for them to do it out in the road than it is for them to do it behind the business. Yes, I have seen skilled truck drivers turn their trucks around in the back. Because of the bad truck drivers every 6 months or so the city sends a crew out to replace the cones. They really should give these truckers tickets for blocking the roads. They even do it when there is a lot of traffic.
@kgb4187 Жыл бұрын
2.4 is it really brake checking when you blind them with high beams? They can't see the road anymore so the safest thing is to slow down.
@zukosmom3780 Жыл бұрын

Half of these are just people getting petty revenge for something the semi clearly did before video starts. Nobody is randomly break checking a semi for no reason.

@6:46 LOL. The truck is going to do the same thing the car was doing, driving on the wrong side of the road!
@WaspMedia3D Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure he was blocking the traffic behind him to keep cars from doing the same thing to the yellow truck while he reversed into where he needed to be.
@alrighty6898 Жыл бұрын
They should test drivers for turning right onto a street with incoming traffic to see if they understand when to turn and the speed they should be going if they cut someone off. These drivers from #1 all turn right but didn’t accelerate to match the speed of the vehicle they cut off. #2.3 dumb suv driver #4 is double park on the side allowed as seen 6:48 The last one is hilarious the truck is in a rush to get in front of the vehicle they’re behind so they can brake check/drive slower

6:33 Double parking a row of vehicles without number plates. Yeah, that looks legit. If it wasn't NY, I'd call parking enforcement to come ticket and tow the lot. That business using public roads as their personal parking lot is just an entitlement complex out of control NY style.
@MaxZomboni Жыл бұрын
They are dealer cars waiting to get into that detail shop. They don't need license plates. Just a magnetic dealer plate when being moved. Sure parking them like that is illegal, but what are you going to do when there is no legal parking available? It's that way or no way.

@@newbunny93 Not defending either of them. They're both aggressive morons that probably shouldn't be on the road. As a truck driver I just find the one reacting like that with a potentially 80k pound vehicle particularly offensive.
