Hii Sir, Is too much gap in acedmics matter ? i have 4 years gap in acedmics, previously I was in PD now i am trying for RTL, is effected on me?

It does matter. But if you keep trying, you will surely be successful. Also, entering in the same domain will be easier.

It is not a shift job. It depends upon your client when they are available and how critical is the issue. Generally, you will have to work 8-9hrs daily

Start with basic linux shell scripts like tcsh

Koi agar soch raha ho ki yeh sab dusre companies mai bhi scripting ka kaam aata hai ya nhi.. Bilkul aata hai joh sab junior engineer ko karna padta hai kabhi na kabhi . Best advice is to understand grep, sed, awk, python and Perl.
