I think they will, a bit later in high school or when Griffin goes to college. I hope Turner will be able to find a job. My Publix grocery store had a young man with D.S., but he had to move to a store that was closer to him (no transit system between our neighbourhood and his). Another younger man took his place recently.

unfortunately this is how things are if you have a disabled sibling . Glass children. They are used to having to compromise more or give certain things up to accommodate their disabled sibling

I agree, but as someone with a disabled sibling I can tell you that this is going to have some implications long-term. Eventually he'll have to place himself at #1

@@saraosori14 Glass children has two meanings. One is that the parents are less concerned about the 'glass' child breaking than their disabled child breaking. The other is that the parents see right through the 'glass' child and sometimes fail to see that they're their own person.

I mean you can't really know how he feels unless you were in his shoes. I mean that could of always been his personality... people are different lol. To me he seems so mature more than likely due to the unique situation he is in with his brother and needing to be his guidance as the older brother/role-model and watching out and helping his brother grow as an individual who can take care of himself and learn how the world truly is for his future. He seems very smart for his age and I believe he will be fine as he grows older. He will understand why things were the way they were with age.

I think both of these boys are awesome kiddos. Griffin needs a day to himself sometimes. A day where he's the focus and get to do whatever he wants to do. I say this because he seems so sad. He's just a little boy but is so mature for his age. He's only got one chance at childhood and I'm afraid he's missing out 😢 Don't make him grow up too fast and have too much responsibility at his age.

I don't think he's missing out of childhood, they seem to have a lot of fun. It's a different experience with an additional responsibility, that's for sure, but I don't think he's losing the core of what a healthy childhood looks like. I agree that it'd be great if he has some time for himself though.

This video made me so sad. Turner is a hoot, but you can feel Griffin is zapped. It's in his eyes, his body language, his words and responses. I don't doubt he loves his brother, but I find some of the parents responses really telling. Being a parent isn't easy but it's hard seeing Griffin not getting the support and attention he needs compared to Turner. You get one shot at childhood and I worry for Turner. I hope their relationship can sustain itself when this is the foundation it's built on.

Why do I have the feeling that Griffin's parents have said that to him quite often in defense of Turner always getting his way or as an easy way out of situations for the parents. Griffin seems to have been forced into growing up a lot sooner than he deserves or needs. The whole family needs to remember to maintenence their own and each other's personal and mental needs too to keep a healthy balance throughout. "Hakuna Matata" ❤️

I agree with both of y'all. But they could do better. They're coddling Turner and he's a HUGE brat. Poor Griffin has to take his hitting, copying, being left out, getting reprimanded while Turner doesn't. 😐 If they can realize what they're doing, at least dad, then DO something about it while he's still young. I think this is a real example of what it can be like trying to raise multiple children when one is differently abled. However, I hope Griffin gets his own space and finds his voice because it is always hard to be treated harsher because you behave a little better or respond quicker. I empathize with these parents and I hope they figure this out for these boys. It can be so difficult but you can tell how much love there is in this house. It gets better when you find your groove!

I write this not knowing the results of our testing yet , we had the markers for Down syndrome on the first blood test , just went yesterday for the diagnostic one . My wife and I already decided on keeping the child regardless . We already have a son , he’s 3 1/2 . Seeing this video shows me the dynamic / what to change / what to expect . Regardless of down or not , getting that news has forever changed my view on Down syndrome and people that live with it . It’s opened my heart . They are angels , they are pure , no matter what emotion it is , it isn’t malicious , it’s what they are feeling at the time . They live in the now , and love their families very much

Griffin: Sometimes you just have to let it go... A child that young should not be speaking those words and with such sadness. Dear parents, I'm not trying to be rude, but it's important that you prioritise him at times and let him be relaxed and carefree than heavily burdened and melancholic the way he is now. Before it's too late...

The older brother seems very exhausted for his age. They should make sure that he is okay and that he is getting everything he needs too. I think they push too much responsibility on him, and he has no say in it.

We're seeing 30 mins of their life, it's a little bit too far fetched to make assumptions, isn't it? Also, some people get a bit weirded out by the whole camera thing, or have bad days etc etc...

I really learn such an important lesaon of life with this two brothers. "Turner have to learn how to lose In life you dont always win". I think that Is a big shows of love by Griffin teach His brothers that. And Iam sure that Turner take as puré resilience lesson for His life.. is just simply beautiful!

I want to meet them!! We are parents of two amazing boys like them. Having a child with Down Syndrome brings joy and makes you realize how blessed we all are and not take things for granted. We couldn’t agree more in everything all 4 of them said. My boys and I were laughing so hard, at all the similarities they have with us. 💛💙

That father realizing his issue with allowing Down Syndrome to be his son's "excuse" for not being asked to do certain things is so wholesome. I love that he realizes that about himself.

Wow! When the dad said that he would've liked a celebration when his special son was born- tells me the amazing human being Dad is, and this why God/Jesus blesses parents with children like Turner. I'm sure these boys will live happy and successful lives! Long healthy lives for your AMAZING lovely family. 🎉❤🥳

Love their honesty, their smartness, Turner's laugh is as beautiful as griffin said. Thank you for making me fall in love with them!! May they be blessed and togather always. Ameen. Please post more videos of them. If possible, make a series on them. God!! I ran with him after scoring a point. I celebrated with him when he said "I beat griffin, n I won". They are such a beautiful pair!! May God bless them with ease, health and happiness always.
