A Day in the Life of Vintage Classic Specialist, Episode 135, the 61 bus gets a bunch of windows!

Busy day at the shop on the '61 Deluxe 23 Window bus! It got about 10 windows installed, which is less than half them! 😆 It also got its speaker, horn, and a few other odds and ends done.

As someone else mentioned, another YT channel had an aftermarket deluxe roof panel installed and EVERY one of the skylight frames had to be grinded back!! Good luck!

Thanks! Yeah, we always grind them down pretty thin on busses where the body work is supervised by us, before final approval for paint. Paint and body on this one were handled by the customer.

Interesting about the small windows on the bus and the lip width problem. I watched another project bus episode on YT and they had a similar issue. They ended up grinding ALL of them down as well. Seems to be common on the restored buses. Looking forward to seeing the Ghia 👍🏻CU to,or tow 😁👋🏻

Thanks Stew. As I mentuond in the video, when we're in charge of body and paint, they get checked and ground down during bodywork. Sucks doing it on a painted bus with interior installed 😕

Thanks so much for looking at those motors! The display engine certainly has some interesting parts on it, particularly the little twin carb setup. It will be good to see the 36HP built, and the one for the cal-look sounds like it has a great spec. Bummer about those little bus windows - but how great that you can just walk across the shop to see how the cutouts should look, on the other bus!
