I really want to see this guy play a full season. In his last 3 seasons, including this one so far, he's played 142 games and has hit 47 homers in those games. That's absurd. Please stay healthy, Bux!!
@marcjohn94042 жыл бұрын
Ever since the new management took over and he's been encouraged to become a power hitter, he's just been raking on a different level. His offensive numbers have jumped dramatically since 2019, and it really begs the question as to what he could have done if he hadn't been held back by Molitor allegedly trying to make him into a slap hitter. All's well that ends well though, I guess.

Never seen anybody do some of the things he does. He's not like any one player that you can just compare to, maybe because the game has changed so much over the years from when I was growing up watching it in the late 90s and early 2000s, but the man ranks very high in terms of the overall skill level and baseball IQ combined of anybody I've watched. If he stays healthy the Twins have invested very, very wisely, game for game there are few who are better than him so the more games the better. I feel blessed having him on the Twins, and I still remember to this day when we got him feeling excited because of all of the comparisons and what people were saying and to see it come to fruition now is awesome. We even got him paired up with Correa who got picked #1 in the same draft that year.

I love it when players make a home out of where they are drafted. I'm sure it would have been nice if he could play for the Braves organization, but signing a massive extension with MN, that wasn't the most money he could probably get on open market, tells me that he likes where he is, and that is appreciated by local fans, especially with guys chasing the money to LAD or NYY or NYM.
